become “prevalent” in many Filipinos given
their working conditions.

you reduce him to inaction.”
- Demoralization of the Filipinos was caused by
the harsh actions of the Spaniards even during
its early decades in the country
- as the unstable conditions that made the
Filipinos “give up.”

hours, gambling, bad treatment of farmers,
abuses of the encomenderos, mishandling of
agriculture (haciendas)
- PREDICTIONS:
(1) The Filipinos will become independent as it
cannot stay in an abusive relationship with
Spain
(2) the Filipinos will be still under Spain but with
conditions far better than what they had in the
past
