Quarter 1 Week 3
Activity 1: “Sequencing Pictures”
Directions: Arrange the pictures according to their order of proper
handwashing in the box below. (Group Activity)
Activity 2: “Picture Puzzle”
The class will be grouped into four. Each group will receive an envelope
containing puzzle pieces. The learners will work as a team to put the
puzzle pieces together to complete the picture assigned to them.
Directions: Complete the picture by putting the puzzle pieces together. Tell something about the
picture you have completed.

Directions: Complete the statements by selecting the


appropriate answer from the box below.

Activity 4: “Name the Picture”

Identify whether the picture shows Care for the Sense Organs, Oral
Care, Body Care, and Genital Care.
Sense organs are very important. They help you observe and learn about
things around you. You should take care of your sense organs.

Care for the Sense Organs

1. Protect eyes from very bright light. Use sunglasses or an umbrella when
staying under the sun for a long time.
2. Do not rub or touch the eyes with dirty fingers or a dirty handkerchief.
3. Keep the volume of headphones and earbuds at a safe level to prevent
hearing damage.
4. Do not clean the ears with any sharp or pointed object.
5. Maintain nasal hygiene by gently blowing your nose and using
saline solution/ saltwater to keep nasal passages moist.
6. Protect skin from the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays with sunscreen
and protective clothing.
7. Eat a balanced diet to maintain healthy taste buds.
8. Trim and clean nails regularly to prevent dirt and bacteria build-
up.
9. Feel with your tongue if all teeth are smooth and clean.
Oral Care

1. Gently brush your teeth for at least two minutes, twice a


day.
2. Use a fluoride mouthwash to help strengthen teeth and
prevent cavities.
3. Consume a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean
proteins, and whole grains.
4. Rinse toothbrush with clean water.
5. Drink plenty of water, as it helps to rinse away food
particles and maintain saliva production, which is important
for oral health.
6. Visit your dentist for regular check-ups and dental
cleaning every six months or participate in school dental
check-ups regularly.
Genital Care

1. The males shall gently wash genitals with soap each


day. Females are advised to use lukewarm water in
washing their genitals.
2. Ensure that underwear is adequately washed,
thoroughly rinsed, and completely dried before putting it
on.
3. Wash hands before passing urine or touch your genital.
Body Care

1. Wet the entire body.


2. Lather a small amount of shampoo and conditioner into the
hair.
3. Thoroughly rinse all of the shampoo out of the hair.
4. Rinse whole body with water.
5. Dry body with a clean towel.
6. Always keep hands clean and remember to use hand sanitizer
when soap and water are not available.
Activity 5: Group Activity

Divide the class into three. Each group will be given a picture.
The group will write steps on how to avoid the scenario in the
picture given to them.
