Virtual reality
What is virtual reality?
Virtual reality involves feeling rather than
actual an abstract (virtual) universe. The
fantasy universe is a computer simulation. The
sensory data was pumped into our brain by a
system.
It helps the user, whether a real or
imagined environment, to communicate
with a virtual machine environment.
History of virtual reality
A single user console named Sensorama was
designed in 1950 by pioneering filmmaker
Morton Heilig. This allows the viewer to watch
3-dimensional TV
Types of virtual reality
1. Immersive VR

2. Non-Immersive VR

3. Window on world VR
Immersive VR
Immersive virtual reality is the portrayal of
an artificial environment which replaces the
real world of users with the conviction that
they can suspend their incredulity and
interact entirely with the generated
environment. Impressiveness is an essential
factor in applications for virtual reality, such
as VR gaming and VR therapy.
Example :

1. Freedom of movement.

2. Physical interaction

3. Physical feedback
Non-Immersive VR
The virtual reality is built on the
desktop and entails viewing a virtual 3-
dimensional on a normal desktop view
without using a specific motion
detection environment.
Window on world VR
The browser-based augmented reality
provides a view without sophisticated
motion recognition environment on the
traditional desktop interface of the 3-
dimensional virtual.

Application of Virtual Reality
Business

The corporate world uses virtual reality in a

variety of areas, including:

1.Virtual corporate experience workshops.

2.New staff training .

3.The product's vision is 360.

Training:

For training simulators, virtual reality environments were used.

Examples include flight simulators, soldiers fighter ground
simulators, paratroops.

Engineering and Design:

In engineering and design processes, VR is commonly used. It
provides a deeper understanding of the design and helps
improve where needed The time and cost factor are reduced.
Examples: architecture, vehicle design. Examples: construction,
vehicle design.
Advantage and Disadvantage of VR
Advantage

1. Interactivity

2. Repeatable

3.Immediate feedback

4.Unique

5.Accessibility
Disadvantage

1.Difficult to develop

2.Understanding of best practices

3.Technical issues

4.Hosting expense
