STUDY
This study on the impact of technology on student
social interaction has significant implications for
various stakeholders. Department of Education can
use it as a basis for school regulations and
designing new programs. Administrators can use it
as a guide for formulating campus policies and
regulations regarding technology use. Teachers can
use it to understand student behavior and
motivate responsible technology use. Parents can
use it to guide their children in healthy technology
use. Students can become more responsible for
their actions and manage their technology use 6

METHODOLOGY
The summary or interview method in
qualitative research involves collecting data
through interviews or conversations with
participants. The researcher asks open-ended
questions to gather rich, descriptive data
about the participants' experiences and
perspectives. The data is then analyzed and
interpreted to identify themes and patterns
in the participants' responses.

8
METHODOLOGY
In qualitative research, ethical considerations are
of utmost importance to ensure that participants'
rights and well-being are protected. The following
principles of ethical conduct should be strictly
observed: obtaining informed consent from
participants, upholding confidentiality of
participants' personal information and data,
respecting participants' privacy, allowing voluntary
participation, minimizing harm to participants,
disclosing any potential conflicts of interest,
maximizing benefits and minimizing potential harm

Utilization of messenger
The study explores the utilization of Messenger as the
most popular social media platform during the
pandemic for communication and connection among
students, opposing previous studies on the role of
Snapchat and Instagram in student socializing. The
study finds that Messenger is used for self-expression,
social comparison, and social support.

15
Bonding with common interest
The experiences of sharing common interests among students
can enable them to communicate and bond with each other.
While shared leisure activities have been found to contribute
to relationship formation and community building among
high school students, gaming has also been found to provide a
way for students to bond and share their interests, creating a
sense of community. These findings oppose the idea that only
leisure activities can contribute to relationship formation, as
gaming can also play a significant role.
