Francesc Pujols I Morgades
Francesc Pujols was a Catalan writter and philosoper. He was an important artist for our culture because he wrote a lot of books and he devoloped his own philosophic system: "The Science of Everything".
In 1939, because of the Civil War, he went to exile in Montpeller. In 1942 he went back to Barcelona and he spent a month in jail. He went back to Martorell and finally died there in 1962.
Francesc Pujols thought of a way to understand the world, and he formulated that way as a religion: The Catalan Scientist Religion.
The Science of Everything says that ethics is conceived through knowledge, and ethics is more important than own knowledge.
Nowadays...
There's a foundation dedicated to Francesc Pujols. There, we have a sculpture by Dal dedicated to him. And you can visit Pujols' house in Martorell called "The Tower of Hours".

His life
In 1945 he got the degree of painting teacher. After that, he started to travel around Europe, and later, around Asia too. His paintings were exposed in many countries like Italy, Sweden, Egypt or Lebanon. He is still alive.
Awards
He won in 1970 : Premi de la Diputaci de Barcelona a lExposici Nacional dArt . In 1971: Premi de Pintura Ciutat de Barcelona. In 1994, he got a showroom with his name at Martorell Cultural Centre.

He followed his singing studies in Barcelona. He made his debut at the Liceum Theatre in Barcelona in 1900, where he sang Donizettis "La Favorita". He had an extensive international career, especially in Italy, where he became very famous. He was a player of the Italian romantic repertoire, he also played in Spanish operas such as "Marina" or "La Dolores".
