What we know today as "SDLC" originated about 60 years ago. Engineers and Scientists kept optimising and coming up with different SDLC Models. Well planned SDLC was capable of delivering the quality software. As time went by, Agile flavours like Scrum became the most popular approach for many well-known reasons. Life was good but something was missing. And that was...DEVOPS! Sometimes lines get blur in understanding the difference between DevOps and SDLC but in simple terms, we can say that SDLC takes care of the earlier phase and DEVOPS worry about the later phase of the software lifecycle. SDLC was used in the creation of software but Devops takes all the developed products and gets them where they need to be.
