WHAT IS SOLAR NET METERING?
A billing mechanism which allows
solar energy system owners to get
the credit for the electricity they add
to the grid.
For Eg. The total usage of a residential
customer is 250 units. If a residential
customer has a PV system installed on
the roof top and generates 100 units
then he has to pay only for 250-100=
150 units.

1. Financial Credit for Extra Solar Power Produced
2. No Battery Storage System Needed
3. No Backup Generator for when Solar Power is Not
Available

Solar Net Metering is available for
the first time in India in GUJARAT
and it was applicable since AUGUST
2015
