(215) 490 in Philadelphia, PA

Automated caller states a preexisting order has been placed in your name and asks you to stay on the line to confirm. Sounds like a scam, beware!

I have been getting about 5 to 10 calls from 215 490 numbers every day. Most hang up or I block them and report to scamshield. Very annoying.

Recording was talking before my answer machine started recording....."has been a rise in crime around your neighborhood or you have been referred by a friend or neighbor & you are eligible to receive a free wireless home security system. There is no cost for the equipment or installation & the system is monitored 24 hrs a day by your local police, fire, & medical. You must be a home owner to take advantage of this special offer. If you are interested in having this system installed at no cost to you, then press 1 now. Once again, press 1 now, other wise press 2 to be removed from our calling list. Thank you & have a nice day." Then there was a long pause, then it said...."If you would like your phone number removed, press 2 now, other wise press 1 to speak to a representative. Thank you." No friends or family has gotten any home security recently or in the past few years as that goes. There isn't a rise in crime where I live either. This is just a scam outfit wanting to secure themselves on what you have, not protecting what you have. This is also a cell phone caller

Do not know anyone in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rang over ten times before hanging up. Believe to be tied with same group from 215-531-7957. It is from a new cingular wireless customer
