(323) 418 in Los Angeles, CA

I am writing to report an unusual incident that has occurred multiple times now. I have been receiving unsolicited text messages from different individuals who, interestingly, possess eerily similar characteristics. These messages are sent to my Kentucky-based 606 number. While I am uncertain of the original number involved, the recent one explicitly identified itself with a new name. However, the "occupation" of this recent contact mirrored that of the previous potential scammer. Alarmingly, these individuals encouraged me to set up a Whatsapp or Telegram account for the purpose of sharing pictures and engaging in video/voice calls. Naturally, this raised suspicions due to the unsolicited nature of the contact and their keen interest in escalating our communication. Upon conducting a preliminary investigation, it appears that the texts originated from a landline associated with the City of Los Angeles, an unusual and unlikely source for such messages. The irregularity of these incidents prompted me to bring this matter to your attention, and I believe it warrants further investigation. I hope I am wring but I have been burned by catfishers before and I am one bitten, a billion times shy. I hope this information proves helpful in preventing any future unwanted incidents and that necessary actions are taken against potential scam attempts.

The caller just hung up. I've received many calls of this type in the last few weeks, from different numbers, but these always have the 6 first numbers 323-426, or 323-418. Apparently they are all pay phones. What dose this mean?

Might they call my son telling me I missed a court date, have no idea whos in Los Angeles Im pretty sure this is a scam call

Female telemarketer calls out my name (as if she knows me) but addresses me as Ms. Xsxxx? How stupid does she think I am? It's clear she's in a boiler room with phones ringing and activity in the background.
