(336) 413 in Winston Salem, NC

Received phone call from this number on 12/05/2023 at 12:35 PM. When we answered what sounded like it could have been our teenage grandson (14 yrs old). I didn't actually hear what he first said and then he said he had a wreck and broke his nose. Still thinking it was him, I asked if he was at the hospital and he said he was, but now they are going to arrest me because I was driving while using my cell phone. The only way I can get out is to post bond. I asked if he had called his Dad and he said, he had, but couldn't get an answer. That's why I'm calling you. At that point, I realized it really didn't sound like my grandson and I said, "I need to call your Dad first" and he hung up. I called the number back and a male answered the phone and I said, "Did you hang up?" and he said "You have the wrong number." and I immediately called his Dad and he said it was a scam, which I had already figured out. I plan to report it to the NC Attorney General's Office for phone scams and hope this young man doesn't try this again.
