I received an unsolicited call from a person who claimed to be an affiliate of Microsoft. They presented themselves as Micro Assist, and convinced me that they had to resolve issues with my computer. They charged my credit card for more than $200 CAN, yet, after numerous events on which they accessed my personal information, thay never repaired anything. I have been receiving persistent phone calls from these scammers, even at midnight. I only realized how dangerous it was after they tried to convince me to fill in online Western Union Banking form.
