A great book for every expecting mom!

Loved this book, very good resource for expecting mothers as they learn about the tiny person inside them and how their attitude affects that life. I loved how the author always referred to the unborn baby as an unborn baby, not a fetus. great book!

Splendid Experience

I was fortunate that a dear friend lovingly packaged & sent this, when she learned of my pregnancy. This book had more impact on me, than any other baby-book I read. It influenced & enhanced the experience of my pregnancy & helped to guide my attitude & behavior even through difficult events that occurred during gestation. It is written from the perspective of love & I believe it contributed significantly to the strong bond that I have with my daughter. I still read it occasionally & find it useful in determining my approach to parenting today. I'm so pleased to have read this book.

packed with interesting facts!

I thought this book was great. It gives in depth knowledge of how mom's emotions, anxieties etc. can effect the fetus. Also important are the effects of the father's relationship with the fetus. This is usually lost in research, but this author has many case studies relating the importance of how pregnancy is percieved by all involved is basically how the baby's personality will probably be shaped. Unlike Jungian theroy, (Children do not form personality traits until toddlerhood)the author suggests that the fetus is affected and aware of it's environment from as early as perhaps 4 months gestation. a fascinating book, I highly recommed this to any expecting parent. It is also written in a very easy to read, non text book fashion.

It's never too early to know your baby

This is an important book to read early in pregnancy to receive the most benefit, but it's never too late! By citing research, the author adds credence to ideas mothers have known about for centuries about the effects on your unborn baby of your own communications, relationships and experiences while pregnant. This book can be a useful tool for both parents in beginning a respectful and loving relationship with their baby.

The unborn child is a real person with thoughts and feelings

This was the first book I ever read about the thoughts, feelings, and capabilities of the unborn child. As a childbirth educator, I found the information very valuable in educating my clients about the needs of their unborn babies. It gives us a very clear, vivid picture that those are not just "blobs of tissue" developing in our wombs - they are living, thinking, reacting human beings who have feelings. Hopefully this information will help pregnant women think more carefully about how they take care of themselves during pregnancy and how they can bond with their babies before birth.
