In addition to working for Treehugger, Elizabeth works as an academic editor in the earth sciences. She went to graduate school for physical geography with a focus on climate change and past environments and has an undergraduate background in sustainability and environmental sciences.
Elizabeth MacLennan has worked for Treehugger since March 2021. She also works as a freelance editor, both for academic manuscripts and general nonfiction works, with two years of copy editing experience. She focuses on using knowledge of past climate systems to understand how future climate change may impact people and the environment. In graduate school, she conducted research on understanding past climate conditions in changes through various proxies in lake sediment in the Caribbean.
Elizabeth received a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Sustainability and a Master of Sciences in Physical Geography from the University of Tennessee.
