Michael Strasser was born on 16th of April 1983 in Mödling, Austria, and is a professional cyclist. Michael, who is an architect and sports instructor by profession, holds a world record for cycling the length of the African continent from Cairo to Cape Town. He also cycled across Russia in a relay with three other cyclists. Furthermore, he did several triathlon competitions in ironman distance and won twice the Austria Extreme-Triathlon. In his recent project “Ice2Ice” he set a Guinness World Record for cycling the length of both Americas from Alaska to Patagonia. His philosophy of life: try and fail, but never fail to try!
