伐罗那是一顆巨大的古柏帶天體,正式名称是:20000 Varuna,读作VAIR uh nuh,由美国天文学家麦克·米兰于2000年在美国亚利桑那州发现,發現時的臨時名稱為2000 WR106,並且已經在1953年的乾板上追溯到其蹤跡,是矮行星的候選者之一。
伐罗那是印度神话中天空,雨水及天海之神,他亦是掌管法規與陰間的神[11]。
关于伐罗那的详细消息现在知道得很少,只能从天文望远镜中推测其直径约为1060公里。
科学家们正在对伐罗那进行进一步观测,以得到进一步详细的消息。
