- The 2022 Corrientes wildfires were a series of wildfires burning throughout the Corrientes Province in Argentina. It began in January of that year and continued to be active in many parts of the province, having consumed more than 800,000 hectares, which is equivalent to approximately ten percent of the province. The fire advanced over fields, mountains, wetlands and nature reserves, including the Iberá Wetlands, and has caused material damage estimated at between 25 and 40 billion pesos. The reasons for the fires include a natural disaster caused by high temperatures, water stress and lack of humidity in the environment, as well as man-made actions, either by starting intentional or negligent fires. - Los incendios de Corrientes de 2022 abarcan focos ígneos que comenzaron en el mes de enero y continúan activos en numerosos puntos del territorio provincial de Corrientes, habiendo consumido más de 800 000 hectáreas, lo que equivale a aproximadamente el diez por ciento de la superficie de esta provincia. El fuego avanzó sobre campos, montes, humedales, como los Esteros del Iberá, y reservas naturales, entre ellas, el parque nacional Esteros del Iberá, y ha ocasionado daños materiales estimados entre 25 000 y 40 000 millones de pesos. Las razones de los incendios incluyen tanto un desastre natural ocasionado por las altas temperaturas, el estrés hídrico y la falta de humedad en el ambiente, como así también, el accionar del hombre, ya sea mediante el inicio de incendios dolosos o culposos.
