Later, she was a participant in the 40th season, Survivor: Winners at War, where she placed 20th, being the second voted out and the first member of the jury. She is married to fellow Survivor contestant of Survivor: Marquesas, Survivor: All-Stars, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, Survivor: Winners at War and winner of Survivor: Redemption Island, Rob Mariano, with whom she appeared in The Amazing Race twice, where they placed 2nd and 8th. - Née le 11 août 1978 à Beaver (Pennsylvanie), de parents croates, Amber Brkich Mariano obtient un diplôme "Bachelor of Arts" au Wesminster College de Pennsylvanie, à New Wilmington, au nord de Pittsburgh. Après avoir participé à la saison 2 de (en), Amber a traversé le pays et a pris part à des actions caritatives. Immédiatement après l'émission, elle a fait la couverture de Stuff Magazine. Amber a été ensuite rappelée pour le Survivor All Stars (Survivor 8), où les figures marquantes des 7 premières saisons se sont affrontées. Amber a par ailleurs gagnée le show, face à Rob Mariano, son allié du jeu dont elle est tombée amoureuse sur l'île, avec 4 votes contre 3. Le 16 avril 2005, Rob Mariano et Amber Brkich se sont mariés lors d'une cérémonie privée, à Atlantis Paradise Island, aux Bahamas.
