- أرسثينول (بالإنجليزية: Arsthinol) هو دواء مضاد للأوليات. صنع بداية في عام 1949م على يد العالم (Ernst A.H Friedheim إيرنست فريدهم). يصنع أرسثينول من مادتي اسيتراسول و3,2-ثنائي الماركبتوا بروبانول (ديمركابرول).يستخدم أرسثينول بشكل فعال ضد داء الأميبات (amoebiasis) وداء العليقي وسوق بالعلامة التجارية بالرسين (حبوب 0.1غرام) (Balarsen, Tablets, 0.1 g) لعدة سنوات. حديثا تجري عليه دراسات للتحقق من فعاليته ضد السرطان. - Arsthinol (INN) is an antiprotozoal agent. It was synthesized for the first time in 1949 by Ernst A.H. Friedheim by complexation of acetarsol with 2,3-dimercaptopropanol (British anti-Lewisite) and has been demonstrated to be effective against amoebiasis and yaws. It was marketed few years later by Endo Products (Balarsen, Tablets, 0.1 g).Among trivalent organoarsenicals, arsthinol was considered as very well tolerated. Recently, it was studied for its anticancer activity. (en)
- L'arsthinol est un dérivé organoarsénié trivalent efficace contre les infections à protozoaire. Synthétisé pour la première fois par (es) en 1949 par complexation de l'acétarsol avec le dimercaprol, il s'est montré actif sur l'amibiase et sur certaines tréponématoses comme le pian. Considéré à l'époque comme « très bien toléré », il a été commercialisé aux États-Unis en 1953 sous le nom de Balarsen. En 2006, des chercheurs de l'Université Henri-Poincaré de Nancy ont mis en évidence son activité sur différents types de cellules leucémiques. (fr)
