Fou restaurat de fet el 20 de juliol de 1807 quan les illes Jòniques foren retornades a França i constituït formalment el 13 de setembre de 1807. El 8 d'octubre de 1809 va passar a dependre de les . - Corcyre ([kɔʁ.kiʁ], archaic French for "Corfu", Greek: Κέρκυρα, romanized: Kerkyra) was one of three short-lived French departments of Greece. It came into existence after Napoleon's conquest in 1797 of the Republic of Venice, when Venetian Greek possessions such as the Ionian islands fell to the French Directory. It consisted of the islands of Kerkyra (Corfu) and Paxoi, as well as the cities of Butrint and Parga on the adjacent mainland. Its prefecture was in the City of Corfu. The island was lost to Russia after the Siege of Corfu (1798–1799) and the department was officially disbanded in 1802. Also, Butrint was captured in 1799 by Ali Pasha, governor of Yanya Eyalet.During the renewed French control in 1807–1814, the department was not re-established, the constitutional form of the former Septinsular Republic being kept. - Corcyre était un ancien département français de Grèce créé dans les îles Ioniennes dont la préfecture était la ville de Corfou, dans l'île du même nom. Le département fut créé en 1797, lors de l'annexion des îles Ioniennes à la France. Il était constitué:
* Des îles Ioniennes de Corfou, Paxos, Érikoussa (Merlera), Othoni (Fano), Vido et Antipaxos ;
* des villes de Bouthrote et Parga sur le continent. Le commissaire du gouvernement est Louis Chicoilet de Corbigny, remplacé en mai 1798 par à l'arrivée du commissaire général des îles Ioniennes Comeyras, Corbigny étant démissionnaire. Perdu en 1799 après le siège de Corfou mené par les forces russes et ottomanes, il est définitivement supprimé en 1802. La République des Sept-Îles lui succède. Ces îles seront de nouveau occupées par les Français entre 1807 et 1814. (fr)
