- Krystaloterapie, nebo „léčení krystaly“, je forma pseudovědecké alternativní medicíny, která využívá polodrahokamy a krystaly, jako je křemen, achát, ametyst nebo opál. Stoupenci této praxe tvrdí, že krystaly mají léčivé schopnosti, ale toto tvrzení není nijak vědecky podloženo. Praktici krystaloterapie věří, že mohou „posílit energii“, zabránit „špatné energii“, uvolnit „zablokovanou energii“ a proměnit auru těla. Při jedné z metod přikládá praktik krystaly na různé části těla, které často odpovídají čakrám, nebo krystaly umisťuje kolem těla ve snaze vytvořit „energetickou mřížku“, která údajně obklopí klienta léčivou energií. Vědecká zkoumání nenalezla žádné důkazy o tom, že by takové „energetické mřížky“ skutečně existovaly, a neexistují žádné důkazy o tom, že by léčení krystaly mělo na tělo větší účinek než jakékoli jiné placebo.Tato praxe je populární a podporuje komerční poptávku po krystalech, což může mít za následek poškozování životního prostředí a dětskou práci při těžbě krystalů. - La lithothérapie est une pratique pseudoscientifique de médecine non conventionnelle basée sur la croyance en un pouvoir qu'auraient certains cristaux de bijouterie (quartz, améthyste, citrine, aigue-marine, rubis, turquoise, etc.) au contact ou à proximité de l'être humain. La croyance sur laquelle se basent certains de ses promoteurs est que les cristaux émettraient une « résonance » ou une « vibration » singulière qui aurait le pouvoir de guérir les maladies ou d'améliorer le bien-être psychique d'une personne. Il n'existe aucune preuve scientifique de l'efficacité de cette thérapie ou de l'existence même d'une énergie spécifique aux cristaux. - La cristalloterapia è una pratica di medicina alternativa, che si prefigge di eliminare disfunzioni o malesseri mediante la collocazione di minerali su determinati punti del corpo. Secondo i sostenitori di questa pratica, ogni cristallo avrebbe una sorta di "campo energetico" proprio ed avrebbe la capacità di entrare in contatto con ogni forma vivente del regno animale. Il cristallo opererebbe nel corpo umano sui piani definiti come "fisico-emotivo-mentale" e spirituale, riportando "l'equilibrio" e "l'armonia". Non esiste alcuna prova scientifica di tali affermazioni. La stessa espressione campo energetico, come intesa dalla cristalloterapia, è priva di qualsiasi significato o riscontro; soprattutto, non esiste alcuna prova di efficacia o utilità clinica del metodo. Dal mondo classico al Medioevo, le presunte proprietà ed i presunti effetti dei minerali furono oggetto di speculazione filosofica e alchemica. Alle pietre era attribuito un preciso influsso terapeutico, specifico per ciascuna patologia, come affermato ad esempio nella Naturalis historia di Plinio o dal trattato Sulle rocce di Teofrasto.
