- FIA GT1 World Championship je mistrovství světa GT vozů pořádané a sankcionované FIA. Jsou v něm zastoupeny silniční automobily různých značek, které jsou upraveny dle regulí FIA GT1. Závody trvají jednu hodinu a celý seriál během sezony zavítá na tři různé kontinenty. Mistrovský titul je udělován jezdcům i týmům. První sezona tohoto šampionátu se konala v roce 2010 a navazovala na předchozí sérii FIA GT Championship, která však neměla status mistrovství světa. Závodily v ní vozy GT1 i GT2.Šampionát zaniknul v roce 2012 kvůli malému zájmu o účast, který byl kvůli vysokým nákladům. Mistrovství bylo sloučeno s FIA GT3 Mistrovství Evropy do FIA GT Series. (cs)

- The FIA GT1 World Championship was a world championship sports car racing series, developed by the SRO Group and regulated by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), that was held from 2010 to 2012. It featured multiple grand tourer race cars—based on production road cars and conforming with the GT1 (2010–2011) and GT3 (2012) regulations—that competed in one-hour races on multiple continents. All cars were performance balanced, with weight and restrictor adjustments, to artificially equalise their performance. Championships were awarded each season for drivers and teams. The FIA GT1 World Championship started in 2010 as a successor to the FIA GT Championship, which had featured the GT1 category as well as a GT2 category. In 2012, the series originally planned to move away from exclusive use of GT1 cars by allowing 2009-spec GT2 cars from the former FIA GT Championship, as well as current performance-balanced GT3 specification cars, to compete alongside the series' GT1 cars. However, as there were no interested GT2 teams and only a handful of former GT1 runners were willing to participate, the SRO Group decided that the 2012 season would be contested with GT3-spec cars only (yet retaining GT1 in the series' title). The series folded after the 2012 season due to the high costs, shrinking car counts, and issues with the calendar, and morphed into the FIA GT Series for 2013. (en)

Kejuaraan Dunia GT1 FIA dimulai pada tahun 2010 dan menjadi penerus seri sebelumnya, FIA GT Championship yang terdiri dari kategori GT1 bersama dengan kategori GT2. - Il campionato mondiale FIA GT1 era una categoria automobilistica dedicata alle auto di serie che si disputò tra il 2010 e il 2012. Era sviluppato dalla Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) e disciplinato dalla FIA. Erano ammesse alla competizione molteplici auto da Gran Turismo realizzate sulla base di vetture stradali e conformi con il regolamento della GT1 (2010–2011) e della GT3 (2012) che disputavano gare di un'ora in tutto il mondo. Tutte le vetture erano bilanciate da un punto di vista delle prestazioni con zavorre e limitatori, in modo da renderle tra loro equivalenti. Ogni stagione assegnava i titoli piloti e costruttori. Il campionato è iniziato nel come successore del Campionato FIA GT, che conteneva le categorie GT1 e GT2. Nel 2012 la serie aveva previsto di abbandonare l'uso esclusivo delle vetture GT1 consentendo la partecipazione alle vetture GT2 secondo le specifiche del 2009 del precedente Campionato FIA GT, nonché anche vetture bilanciandone le prestazioni in modo da poter rivaleggiare con le GT1. Non essendoci team della categoria GT2 interessati e solo una manciata di team GT1 desiderosi di partecipare, l'organizzazione decise di disputare la stagione 2012 con sole vetture di categoria GT3 pur conservando la sigla GT1 nel nome della competizione. La serie cessò dopo la stagione 2012 a causa degli alti costi, del calare degli iscritti e di problemi con il calendario, lasciando il posto alla FIA GT Series nel 2013. (it)
