She is co-owner and founding partner of The Jackal Group, a production entity formed in partnership with Fox Networks Group. The Jackal Group develops and produces scripted, unscripted and factual entertainment programming for FNG's channels, including Fox Broadcasting Company, FX/FXX, the National Geographic Channels, and Fox International Channels. The partnership also provides for opportunities in digital and film, as well as for non-21st Century Fox distribution entities. (en)

Elle est diplômée de l'Université du Maryland, promotion 1978. Avec une amie de l'université, , elle coproduit, à des théâtres de Broadway, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat en 1982, Almost an Eagle la même année, en 1984, (en) en 1985 et (en) en 1987. Elle s'est ensuite consacrée à la télévision, devenant productrice exécutive de séries de la Fox tels que Malcolm, Buffy contre les vampires et Angel. En 2001, elle devient présidente de la Fox.
