- Kentucky Wildcats (español: Gatos Monteses de Kentucky) es el nombre de los equipos deportivos de la Universidad de Kentucky en Lexington, estado de Kentucky, Estados Unidos. Los equipos de los Wildcats participan en las competiciones universitarias organizadas por la NCAA, y forman parte de la Southeastern Conference. Antiguamente, a los equipos femeninos les conocían como "Lady Kats", pero en 1995 adoptaron el mismo nombre de los masculinos, "Wildcats". El equipo más exitoso es el de baloncesto masculino, que ha ganado el título nacional en ocho ocasiones: 1948, 1949, 1951, 1958, 1978, 1996, 1998 y 2012]. El equipo vencedor de 1996 era conocido como Los Intocables, y estaba liderado por Derek Anderson, Tony Delk, Jeff Sheppard y Antoine Walker entre otros. Dos años después, con varios integrantes de aquel equipo campeón, volvieron a ganar el título ante Utah Utes. Varios jugadores exitosos de la NBA han salido de esta Universidad, entre los que destacan John Wall y los campeones Rajon Rondo, Tayshaun Prince y Nazr Mohammed, campeones con los Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons y San Antonio Spurs respectivamente. En baloncesto femenino, las Wildcats alcanzaron cuartos de final del campeonato nacional en 1982, 2010, 2012 y 2013. Por su parte, el equipo de fútbol americano fue campeón de conferencia en 1950 y 1976, y tiene una victoria en el Sugar Bowl, una en el Cotton Bowl y una en el Peach Bowl. The Kentucky Wildcats is the student body of the University of Kentucky. 30,473 students attend the university. Historically, the women's teams and athletes were referred to as the "Lady Kats", but all athletic squads adopted the "Wildcats" nickname in 1995. Collectively, the fans of the Kentucky Wildcats are often referred to as the Big Blue Nation. Their main and most intense rival is the University of Louisville. - Les Wildcats du Kentucky (en anglais : Kentucky Wildcats) sont un club omnisports universitaire qui se réfèrent aux équipes sportives tant féminines que masculines représentant l'Université du Kentucky et qui participent aux compétitions organisées par la NCAA au sein de sa Division I. Les équipes sont membres de la Division Est (en anglais : Eastern) de la Southeastern Conference (SEC). Elles sont au nombre de 18 (9 féminines et 9 masculines) et concourent dans 12 sports. Durant les années 1980, les équipes féminines étaient surnommées Lady Kats. En 1995, elles adoptent comme les garçons le surnom de Wildcats. L'équipe la plus réputée des Wildcats est celle de basket-ball qui a été huit fois championne nationale (1948, 1949, 1951, 1958, 1978, 1996, 1998 et 2012). Les joueurs de basket les plus connus sont John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Bledsoe, Rajon Rondo, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Anthony Davis, Bam Adebayo, Karl-Anthony Towns, Devin Booker. La formation championne en 1948 a également fourni la base de l'équipe olympique qui gagna l'or à Londres. Le campus et les installations sportives (comme le Kroger Field, la Rupp Arena, le (en) ou encore l'University of Kentucky Soccer Complex) sont situées à Lexington dans l'État du Kentucky.
