- أرض العميان (بالإنجليزية: Land of the Blind) فيلم من إنتاج 2006، قام ببطولته دونالد سثرلاند، ريف فاينز، توم هولاندر، ولارا فلين بويل. وأخرجه روبرت إدواردز. أرض العميان هجاء سياسي ساخر مبني على عدة أحداث تاريخية أُطيح فيها بحاكم طاغية بواسطة قادة أثبتوا أنهم بسوئه، إن لم يكونوا أسوأ منه، وإشارات دقيقة إلى أحداث وشخصيات معاصرة، مثل استبدال شاه إيران بآية الله الخميني. ضمت الإشارات التاريخية والسياسية الأخرى في الفيلم كيم جونغ إيل، فيدل كاسترو، ، بينيتو موسوليني، أوغستو بينوشيه، ليندون جونسون، روبرت موغابي، ، الخمير الحمر، . عرض فيلم «أرض العميان» عالمياً لأول مرة في مسابقة خلال مهرجان روتردام السينمائي الدولي، وكان الفيلم الافتتاحي في مهرجان هيومان رايتس ووتش السينمائي في لندن. عُرض في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية لأول مرة خلال منافسة في مهرجان تريبيكا الدولي 2006. أثار الفيلم ردود فعل حادة أثناء عرضه في المهرجانات، وهوجم بشدة بواسطة اليمين واليسار، حيث اعتبر الجميع الفيلم انتقاداً لمواقفهم. - Land of the Blind (Tierra de ciegos) es una película del año 2006 protagonizada por Donald Sutherland, Ralph Fiennes, Tom Hollander y Lara Flynn Boyle. Esta obra es una sátira política realizada en un tono oscuro pues pretende transmitir una sensación de desencanto. Está basada en varios incidentes históricos en los cuales los gobernantes tiránicos fueron derrocados por nuevos líderes que luego probaron ser tan malos, o incluso peores, que sus inmediatos antecesores. Durante el film se visualizan escenas que remiten, de forma implícita, a tales casos. El título fue tomado del dicho "En la tierra de los ciegos, el tuerto es rey". "Land of the Blind" tuvo su estreno mundial en competición en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Róterdam, y fue la película de apertura de la Noche de Gala, en 2006, del Human Rights Watch Film Festival en Londres. Su estreno en EE. UU. fue en la competencia en el Tribeca Film Festival de 2006. Land of the Blind is a dark political satire, based on several incidents throughout history in which tyrannical rulers were overthrown by new leaders who proved to be just as bad, if not worse, and several such cases are alluded to. The title is taken from the saying, "In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king." Land of the Blind had its world premiere in competition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, and was the Opening Night Gala film at the 2006 Human Rights Watch Film Festival in London. Its U.S. premiere was in competition at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.
