- Lubu people are an ethnic group who live in central Sumatra, Indonesia. They are similar to the Kubu people, and are also ancestral to the Siladang people. They live in the mountainous regions of Padang Lawas, South Tapanuli, and Mandailing Natal regencies (all are located within North Sumatra Province jurisdictions). They are now in the process of being absorbed by the Batak. In the early 20th century, they were a migratory people who lived in tree houses, and now are still a tribal people. Although they live near the rivers, they are fearful of water. They speak the Lubu language. (en)
- Les Lubu sont une population d'Indonésie vivant dans la région du mont Kulabu, à la limite des provinces de Sumatra du Nord et Sumatra occidental, au nord-ouest de la ville de Lubuk Sikaping. Ils sont au nombre de 30 000 en 1981. Leurs voisins les rangent dans l'ensemble qu'ils nomment Kubu, un exonyme qu'ils n'utilisent pas eux-mêmes. Les Lubu sont musulmans et parlent le lubu.

- Suku Lubu adalah suku yang mendiami wilayah perbatasan antara Sumatra Utara dan Sumatra Barat. Suku ini diketahui telah muncul sejak lama, jauh sebelum suku-suku lainnya khususnya di Sumatra Utara seperti Batak dan Melayu. Mayoritas suku ini mendiami Sumatra Utara bagian selatan, dan hingga tahun 2014 populasi suku ini diperkirakan mencapai 45.000 orang. (in)
