- يقع مركز مانو التعليمي داخل محمية فاندو ماسكوتانيا، وهي محمية طبيعية خاصة تمتد على مساحة 643 هكتار. وتعد محمية فاندو ماسكوتانيا جزء من محمية مانو الحيوية وهي إحدى مواقع التراث العالمي التي تم ترشيحها من قبل منظمة الأمم المتحدة وأحد أكبر المناطق المحمية في بيرو. وحيث أنها تضم العديد من الغابات الاستوائية كغابات الإنديز المنخفضة وغابات الخيزران؛ فإن ذلك التعقيد الجغرافي جعل منها مسكن بيئي مناسب لمجموعة متنوعة من الحيوانات والنباتات. تدير مجموعة كرييس مركز مانو التعليمي؛ وهي منظمة غير ربحية تعمل على العمل التعاوني وتحقيق الاستدامة في المنطقة. يخدم المركز العديد من المدارس والدوائر المحلية بالإضافة إلى الباحثين والمتطوعين الدوليين. وقد استضاف المركز ورش عمل مختلفة لمنظمة الدراسات الاستوائية باسم حرّاس منتزه مانو الوطني، بالإضافة إلى استضافة المشاريع البحثية لعدد من الجامعات مثل جامعة اكسفورد، وأبردين، وغلاسكو، ومدرسة الدراسات الشرقية والإفريقية التابعة لجامعة لندن. ولقد عمل المركز أيضًا مع مدارس مختلفة من المملكة المتحدة من ضمنها مدرسة ساوث بانك الدولية ومدرسة تونبريدج. - The Manú Learning Centre (MLC) is located within the , a 643 hectare private nature reserve, encompassed within the cultural zone of the Manú Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest protected areas in Peru. It is home to a variety of rainforest types including lowland Andean, pre-montane, bamboo and high terrace forests. This geographical complexity creates habitats for a diversity of flora and fauna. The MLC is operated by the group, a non-profit and business collaboration working towards sustainability for the Manú Region. The MLC serves local schools and communities as well as international researchers and volunteers. It has hosted workshops for the Organization for Tropical Studies, and on behalf of the Manú National Park Guards, as well as research projects from the University of Oxford, Aberdeen, and Glasgow University in addition to the SOAS. The MLC has also worked alongside schools from the UK including Southbank International School and Tonbridge School. (en)
