- OYAK (Abk. für türkisch Ordu Yardımlaşma Kurumu) ist der Pensionsfonds der türkischen Streitkräfte. Finanziert wird der Fonds durch eine Pflichtabgabe aller Offiziere in Höhe von 10 % ihres Solds. Das Militär betont, dass der Fonds ausschließlich den Familien im Dienst getöteter oder verletzter Soldaten ein Auskommen sichern und den Übergang von Soldaten in den Ruhestand durch eine Einmalzahlung erleichtern soll: “We wanted to establish a system to ensure that members of the armed forces would not have to depend on the government alone for their income.” Das Geld aus den Gehältern wird in eine Holding investiert, zu der über 30 Unternehmen aus den verschiedensten Branchen gehören, die insgesamt über 30.000 Menschen beschäftigen. OYAK gehört damit zu den drei oder vier größten wirtschaftlichen Konglomeraten im Land und ist aufgrund seiner Steuer- und Abgabenbefreiung eines der profitabelsten. Zu den Tochterunternehmen gehört in Deutschland die OYAK Anker Bank mit Sitz in Frankfurt am Main. Seit 2005 besitzt OYAK eine Mehrheitsbeteiligung von 52,8 % der Anteile an Erdemir, dem größten türkischen Stahlhersteller. 2015 übernahm OYAK den angeschlagenen deutschen Aluminiumkonzern .Im Sommer 2019 liefen Verhandlungen zur Übernahme des bankrotten Konzerns British Steel. - OYAK (Ordu Yardımlaşma Kurumu), is a Turkish charity and pension fund with around 363,000 members and owner of Renault (Oyak). The OYAK Holding Investment Subsidiary Group is one of the largest industrial groups in Turkey. The group was the former owner of ING Oyak Bank (sold to ING Bank in 2007) and the Oypa supermarket chain. In 2012 it was rated BB+/stable by Standard & Poor's. The group co-owns Oyak-Renault, a car manufacturer, and steel producer Erdemir. OYAK Group of Companies added Sagra to its structure in April 2021. OYAK provides members with "supplementary retirement benefits" apart from the official retirement fund, T.C.Emekli Sandığı/SSK, to which they are primarily affiliated. In addition to retirement benefits, OYAK pays disability benefits to members when they become partially or fully disabled, and provides death benefits to the deceased's heirs. OYAK is a private entity that is subject to Turkish civic and commercial law. OYAK, also offers services such as consumer loans, housing loans, pension system, stock market investment support to its members.
