- رشيد جاهان (بالأردية: رشید جہاں) (1905-1952) هي كاتبة هندية افتتحت حقبةً جديدةً من الأدب الأردي الذي كتبت فيه النساء. وكتبت قصصًا قصيرة ومسرحيات، وربّما أفضل ما قامت به مشاركتها في رواية «أنجاراي» عام 1931 المتفجّرة، وهي مجموعة من القصص القصيرة المبتكرة غير التقليدية التي كتبها كُتّاب شباب باللغة الأردية مثل سجاد ظهير وأحمد علي. Elle a écrit des nouvelles et des pièces de théâtre, mais est surtout connue pour sa participation à l'explosif « Angaaray » (1931), un recueil de nouvelles révolutionnaires et non conventionnelles écrites par de jeunes auteurs ourdous comme Sajjad Zaheer et Ahmed Ali. - Rashid Jahan (25 August 1905 – 29 July 1952) was an Indian writer and medical doctor known for her Urdu literature and trenchant social commentaries. She wrote short stories and plays and contributed to Angarey (1932), a collection of unconventional short stories written in collaboration with Sajjad Zaheer, Ahmed Ali, and Mahmuduz Zafar. During her lifetime, Jahan was an active member of the Progressive Writers' Movement and the Indian People's Theatre Association. Jahan has been called one of the first ever feminists and was a leading Indian Communist. These two schools of thought animated Jahan's life and literary output. (en)
