- She-Ra: The Princess of the Power, también conocida como She-Ra, La Princesa del Poder, es una serie animada de televisión estadounidense de 1985, basada en la heroína de una serie de juguetes creada por la compañía Mattel y producida de 1985 a 1987, con 93 episodios. El personaje protagonista se presenta como la hermana de He-Man, con una línea argumental prácticamente idéntica a la de He-Man y los Amos del Universo, pero a la vez complementaria y destinada al público femenino de entre 3 y 10 años de edad; sin embargo, su popularidad llegó también a conquistar al público masculino y a personas de todas las edades, como jóvenes y adultos en determinadas edades. Elle accompagne et promeut la ligne de jouets La Princesse du Pouvoir, elle-même dérivée de la franchise Les Maîtres de l'univers de Mattel. Elle se déroule donc dans le même univers que la série d'animation du même titre que la franchise dont elle est le spin-off. Elle fait également suite au film d'animation Les Maîtres de l'univers : Le Secret de l'épée qui introduit son univers. À l'époque, 59 épisodes ont été doublés en français. En France, la série a été diffusée à partir du 24 janvier 1986 sur Antenne 2 dans l'émission Récré A2, en Belgique sur RTL dans l'émission et au Québec à partir du 23 juin 1986 sur Super Écran. À la suite de la série, le personnage de She-Ra est devenue culte et est considérée par beaucoup comme un modèle positif pour les jeunes filles et les femmes. (fr)

A spin-off of Filmation's He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series, She-Ra was aimed primarily at a young female audience to complement He-Man's popularity with young males. Unlike He-Man, which was based on the Masters of the Universe toy line by Mattel, the creation of She-Ra was a collaboration between Filmation and Mattel. The initial group of characters and premise were created by uncredited writers Larry DiTillio and J. Michael Straczynski for Filmation, while the characters introduced later were designed by Mattel. Mattel provided financial backing for the series, as well as an accompanying toy line. The series premiered in 1985 and was ended in 1987, after 2 seasons and 93 episodes. On March 22, 1985, Filmation released an animated film based on the series titled He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword. The film is composed of the first five episodes from the She-Ra television series: "Into Etheria", "Beast Island", "She-Ra Unchained", "Reunions" and "Battle for Bright Moon". A rebooted series, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, premiered on Netflix on November 13, 2018, and concluded on May 15, 2020. (en)
