- Stand High Patrol ist eine Gruppe von Musikern aus der Bretagne in Frankreich, die sich selbst als Sound System verstehen. Musikalisch wurde sie durch verschiedene Einflüsse inspiriert, unter anderem durch traditionelles Sound System aus Jamaika, durch Künstler der Musikrichtungen Reggae und Dub, sowie durch HipHop. Die Gruppe besteht aus Pupajim (MC/Gesang), Mac Gyver (Operator), Rootystep (Selector) and Merry (Trompete). Seit der Gründung im Jahr 2000, hat Stand High Patrol vier Alben veröffentlicht, sowie Kollaborationen mit anderen Künstlern. Am 24. Juli 2020 ist das fünfte Album Our Own Way erscheinen. (de)
- Stand High Patrol est un soundsystem dub français fondé en 2001. Il était à l'origine composé de trois membres : Rootystep, Mac Gyver et Pupajim. Depuis la sortie de leur second album en 2015 les trois membres d'origine ont été rejoints par un trompettiste dénommé Merry. Stand High Patrol se produit sur scène ou en format soundsystem. Le collectif dispose par ailleurs de son propre système de sonorisation fabriqué avec Roots Atao et contrôlé en session par ce dernier. (fr)
- Stand High Patrol are a sound system based in Brittany, France, who take influence from the traditional Jamaican sound system tradition, and from Reggae and dub musicians, and more recently from Hip Hop music . They are made up of Pupajim (MC/vocals), Mac Gyver (operator), Rootystep (selector) and Merry (trumpet). Founded in 2000, Stand High Patrol have gone on to create three full length albums, and have made collaborations with various artists, and have performed to sell-out venues worldwide. With the release of their album The Shift in May 2017, Stand High Patrol have begun to explore a genre combining Hip-Hop with their roots in Dub and Reggae. (en)
