- El Subsidio Tichborne (Tichborne Dole) es un festival internacional tradicional inglés de caridad el cual es celebrado en el pueblo de Tichborne, Hampshire, durante el Banquete de la Anunciación. El festival se centra en entregar donaciones de harina, bendecida por el párroco local, proveniente del frente de la Casa Tichborne. El festival data del siglo XII (aproximadamente de 1150) y fue iniciado por Lady Mabella Tichborne quien, en su lecho de muerte, ordenó que cada año se hiciera una donación de la producción de la granja a los pobres. Hoy en día, las políticas del subsidio estipulan que los ancianos de la parroquia de Tichborne y Cheriton tienen derecho a reclamar 1 galón de harina, y los niños medio galón cada uno. (es)
- The Tichborne Dole is a traditional English festival of charity which is held in the village of Tichborne, Hampshire, during the Feast of the Annunciation. The festival is centered on the handing out of donations of flour, which have been blessed by the local parish priest, from the front of Tichborne House. The festival dates back to the 12th century (circa 1150) and was started by Lady Mabella Tichborne who, on her death bed, instructed that a donation of farm produce be made to the poor each year. Presently, the terms of the Dole stipulate that adults from the parishes of Tichborne and Cheriton are entitled to claim 1 gallon of flour, and children half a gallon each. (en)
