In 2013 the project won a , for the best use of digital technology in widening access for disabled people and in 2016 the recordings were released under an open licence. On 8 October 2008, it set the Guinness World Record for the "largest audience for audio described theatre", one hundred and sixty-eight people, at a performance of Les Misérables at the Queen's Theatre, on Shaftesbury Avenue, in London.
