- Der Widdowson-Gletscher ist ein Gletscher an der Loubet-Küste des Grahamlands auf der Antarktischen Halbinsel. Er fließt zwischen dem Drummond- und dem McCance-Gletscher in die Widdowson Cove, eine Nebenbucht der Darbel Bay. Der Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey kartierte ihn anhand von Luftaufnahmen der aus den Jahren von 1955 bis 1957. Das UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee benannte ihn 1959 nach der britischen Medizinerin und Ernährungswissenschaftlerin Elsie May Widdowson (1906–2000) von der University of Cambridge, die von 1938 bis 1966 an der Entwicklung von Nahrungsmittelrationen für britische Polarexpeditionen beteiligt war. - Widdowson Glacier (66°43′S 65°46′W / 66.717°S 65.767°W) is a glacier situated between Drummond and McCance Glaciers and flowing into Darbel Bay south of Sokol Point, on the west coast of Graham Land. The glacier was photographed by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. in 1955–57, and mapped from these photos by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS). Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for of the Dept. of Experimental Medicine, Cambridge, joint author of of Foods, a fundamental work containing all the quantitative data required for calculating expedition ration requirements other than vitamins.
