- زكي كوهن، ولد في 1829 في حلب (الدولة العثمانية)، كان حاخامًا رئيسيًا للطائفة اليهودية في بيروت، لبنان. في سنة 1875 أسس أول مدرسة يهودية في بيروت وشغل منصب مدير المدرسة. ، وأخذت المدرسة اسمه من بعده. استمر في العمل حتى 1899، عندما كان محل المدرسة «كلية جامعة التحالف لبني إسرائيل». توفي زكي كوهن في الإسكندرية في سنة 1904. - Zaki Cohen (en arabe زكي كوهن ; né en 1829 à Alep dans l'Empire ottoman) fut un Grand-Rabbin de la communauté israélite à Beyrouth au Liban. Il fonda en 1875 la première école israélite à Beyrouth, où il assume les fonctions de Directeur. L'école portera son nom et n'en continuera pas moins à fonctionner jusqu'en 1899, date à laquelle l'école fut supplantée par le college de l'Alliance israélite universelle de Beyrouth. Zaki Cohen décéda à Alexandrie en Égypte en 1904. (fr)
- Zaki Cohen (Arabic: زكي كوهن) born in 1829 in Aleppo in the Ottoman Empire, was a Chief Rabbi of the Jewish community in Beirut, Lebanon and a playwright. In 1874, he founded Beirut's first modern Jewish school, called Tiferet Yisrael ("Glory of Israel") in Hebrew and al-Madrasa al-Waṭaniyya al-Isrāʾīliyya ("The National Jewish School") in Arabic, where he served as director. The school continued to operate until 1899, when it was superseded by College Alliance Israelite Universelle of Beirut. Cohen died in Alexandria in 1904. (en)
