Pier Paolo Roggero Agroecosystem management; climate change; cropping systems; GHG emissions; grasslands; grazing systems; participatory approaches; socio-agroecosystem; water management. Pier Paolo Roggero is full professor of Agronomy and crop science at the University of Sassari, Italy. He gained some 35-year experience in experimental agronomy research at the Italian National Research Council and at the Polytechnic University of Marche in Ancona, Italy. He was President of the Italian Society of Agronomy for two consecutive terms and is currently Director of the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Sassari. His research is focused on the agronomy of Mediterranean grazing systems, integrated agroecosystems analysis, cropping system modelling, climate change adaptation and mitigation in agriculture, water resources management, sustainable land management, through various approaches including long term agronomic experiments, participatory methods, systems thinking. |
