IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE

Due to the catastrophic impacts of Hurricane Helene on our Gulf Coast community, we have postponed the Gulf Coast Bike Trek to Saturday, November 2. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns at TampaBayevents@lung.org or 813-712-2307.

We encourage residents to be aware of and prepare for potential health risks as floodwaters recede. Mold, germs and dangerous substances that may cause wheezing, coughing and asthma attacks. People can develop new health and breathing problems, so be aware of any new symptoms. If you are worried about your family’s lung health and have questions, call 1-800-LUNGUSA to talk to American Lung Association respiratory therapist or visit Lung.org/flood for more information.

Thank you for supporting the American Lung Association and the more than 2.7 million Floridians living with a chronic lung disease. You are key to our mission. Please be safe.

Every Mile Counts

There will be three different routes as well as a Cycle Your Way option to ensure that this bike ride has something for everyone - from experienced cyclists to those new to riding, including younger, novice cyclists. Your distance options are a seasoned cyclist 62-mile course, an adventure seeker’s 40-mile course, and a family trek that tops out at 10 miles.

Our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. YOU are the key to that mission.

Whether you are an alumni cyclist or new to biking, there is a spot for you in the Gulf Coast Bike Trek. Our staff and volunteers will fully support you in your goals for fundraising, team building, and training as you prepare for ride day. On the day of the ride, we will have all the bases covered with medical support, mechanical support, multiple rest-stops with food & bathrooms, all covered by your registration fees. All cyclists start and end in the same spot so you will not have to worry about finding your friends and family. Everybody who rides will have a place at the finish line celebrating your fundraising towards lung health with food, music and more!
