(2001) during the period from 1990 to 2016. Moreover, the results of the analysis showed a positive balance relationship between the two variables in the long and short term. On the other hand, our estimates suggest that, 1% depreciation in the dollar leads to 0.58 rises in the oil price in the long run. The error correction results show that coefficient of (ECM) =-0.43, imply that deviation from the long-term exchange rate is corrected by 43% by the following year. Effective tax rate presents for the tax avoidance level, in which higher effective tax rate means the lower tax avoidance level. In this research, the authors check robustness by using different methods to calculate the level of tax avoidance of corporates. Using Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) method with data of 460 enterprises listed on Vietnam Stock Exchange market from 2009 to 2015, the empirical result shows that the level of state ownership has an inverse relationship with tax avoidance behavior of corporates. In other words, the higher level of state-owned is, the fewer taxes they avoid. Empirical evidence also confirms that low concentration (≤ 30%) of state ownership has a positive effect on tax avoidance behavior. Besides that, size, firm performance, tangible assets level, and debt ratio have a meaningful positive relationship with the degree of tax avoidance, similarly prior studies. Contribution/ Originality This study provides empirical evidence for prior theory on the relationship between corporate ownership and the manager' behavior. Research shows that the main challenge for getting loans is information asymmetry between external creditors and SMEs themselves. This makes SMEs investment more risky and vulnerable for the investors. In this situation, credit rating agencies play an important role by rating the SMEs that reflects overall creditworthiness of the SMEs. The aim of this paper is to identify major problems and prospects of SMEs financing and comparative rating process of SMEs in Bangladesh. Presently, credit rating agencies in Bangladesh follow the similar process as in Japan and India. A major problem arises because rating fees is the key source of revenue for credit rating agencies which infuses a conflict of interest of marking high ratings. Moreover, Bangladesh still could not establish institutions which exists in developed countries e.g., Credit Guarantee Corporations (CGC) that supports SMEs as a credit guarantor in Japan. Apart from this, Bangladesh government may encourage boosting investor pay or subsidized model (this is at practice in India) that increases SMEs rating.
