In the 1980s both the country’s GDPs were equal but after the collapse of the Soviet Union, liberalisation, privatisation, and globalisation helped both India and China to raise their economy with foreign direct investment. At present China in terms of Foreign Direct Investment is six times more than India including China's trade contribution is five-time lager and tourist visas are also three times more than India. Military arms sale in the Southeast Asian region is also a challenging issue for India as it is 116 times more than India's Military sales. China not only makes strongholds in Asian institutions such as SAARC, ASEAN, and SCO but also with giving low-interest loans to South Asian countries which huge risk for India in the future. China’s encroachment policy through a low-interest loan to Southeast Asia countries is mixed between Official Development Assistance (ODA), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and soft diplomacy. China has significantly increased trade and military exchanges in the South Asian region which is a direct threat to India. Indian economy is not in a position to deal with its internal problem such as health, education, infrastructure; unemployment. Due to that Indian investment is low compared to China. However, Chinese strategic expansion and military exchange are creating a conflict-like situation with most of the South Asian countries those who were always trying to balance Chinese power involvement with other countries. In this position, India is the only option to control it. This paper mainly describes the challenges between India and China over their expansion and domination of South Asian Countries, it will include how it affects the South Asian country's economies as well.

Sociological point of view the division is made in the society according to rank, caste, and class to explain about what they deserve. Social stratification is concerned with the patterning of inequality and its enduring consequences on the lives of those who experience it. Division is based on what power, status, or economic resources they are availing in the society. Based on the division they also limit the individual choice including freedom and equality. The analy is of stratification in Indian society is to see how such inequalities persist and endure, over lifetimes and continuing for generations. Marx’s writings from The Communist Manifesto to Das Kapital are about increasing polarization of society into workers and capitalists. According to Marx, ever-increasing polarization in the society will eventually produce a proletarian revolution. On global inequality Branko stated that “equality was sharply polarizing; on the one hand, poor and numerous workers; on the other hand, richer and ever-fewer capitalists.

Since Independence, development of tribal people has always been an major concern in India. For this, the Indian Government has taken up many challenging tasks by implementing related programmes, policies and provisions from the Constitution. These initiatives have been carried out with an aim to start working from the ground level so as to provide equality and social justice to the underprivileged or scheduled tribe people. The most important rationale and object of such initiatives are to ameliorate their socio-economic conditions. That said, even after 70 year of India’s independence, the conditions of the tribal groups, in most cases, have not seen visible improvements and still constitute a weaker section of the Indian society. This could be seen from ecological, economy and educational angles. It is very unfortunate that the adopted policies, programmes and plans have not seeped deep into these underprivileged sections of the society as they are often squandered by the top echelons of the concerned authorities. For instance, in every five year plan, government of India has made so many policies and programmes to eliminate poverty, illiteracy, equality, employment, prostitution, trafficking, child labour, bonded labour, untouchability, violence in domestic help, naxalism, land acquisition etc., but all these have remained as mere words on paper without any substantial outcome. With these aspects in mind, I would to analyze all the major policies, programme and constitutional provisions which have been implemented from time to time for the upkeep of the tribal people in India. Furthermore, in this paper, I would like to highlight and discuss the reasons behind the failure of the aforementioned programmes, policies and strategies. F... more Since Independence, development of tribal people has always been an important concern in India. For instance, in every five year plan, government of India has made so many policies and programmes to eliminate poverty, illiteracy, equality, unemployment, prostitution, trafficking, child labour, bonded labour, untouchability, violence in domestic help, naxal movement, land acquisition etc., but all these have remained as mere words on paper without any substantial outcome. As a result of the improper implementation of the mentioned policies, schemes and programmes, the tribal citizens of India have been practically deprived of many civic facilities and are isolated from the modern and civilized way of living since so many decades.

inequalities persist and endure, over lifetimes and continuing for generations.

To say we are living in 21st century but in reality, situation of women is not according to that. One the one hand we worshipped saraswati, laxmi, Durga as Goddess but the other side we treat women badly. It has noticed that, more than two deaths in every one hour due to dowry, 92 women raped every day, trafficking of women increasing every year, including all these there are lots of cases has been registered every year for honour killing, child marriage, force prostitution, female feticides, sati system, rape and burn of minor girl, domestic violence and many more. Women empowerment deals every aspect of life including civil, political, economic, social and cultural. Without education women are not able to fight for their rights, but the fact is that, female literacy rate in India is 65.46% compare to man is 82.14% and the number of female dropout form school is increasing. Women empowerment in India is a challenging task because of stagnation and patriarchal nature of society. There are enormous policies regarding to deal with the empowerment of women in India, still, women are considering as second class citizen. Entire programmes policies are only on paper, when it comes for implementation our society creates hurdle, law remains deaf and media only appear once or twice in a year. Today only few women knows, there are large numbers of government policies are available for their empowerment but because of not awareness and advocacy these are only junk pile. This paper will try to find out the gap between programmes and policies and the implementation with regards to women empowerment. This paper will also recommend some policies for the achievement of empowerment of women in India.
