Colonialism, as we know, is the process of subjugating the weaker and less powerful country by the more powerful and dominating one. Writers from the erstwhile colonies like Africa,

It is a very perplexing and vexing concept to follow. It is thought of as a conceptual chimera. The teachers and experts of Literary Theory have attached much complexity with this theory of deconstruction. This kind of approach on the part of teachers and experts is very disturbing and unfortunate for the students who are abecedarians in the field of Literary Theory. The present paper attempts to simplify this arcane theoretical concept through a definitive and illustrative approach to it. Further, this paper attempts to disambiguate and simplify some of the esoteric and recondite terms that have been used by Derrida while devising the theory of deconstruction.

But unfortunately, we have a very miniscule percentage of people who are fluent speakers of English, who have a very good delivery of English words, who do not feel hesitant while communicating in English with other people in the public. Most of the people, although well qualified and highly educated, always excuse themselves when it comes to speaking on the stage in English language. They have a stage fright. This stage fright is a kind of phobia that has been called by psycholinguists as glossophobia. The main point here is: is this glossophobia inborn or is it something that is because of the absence of some positive point in a person which could qualify him as good communicator? Glossophobia is one of the major challenges in Applied Linguistics. Linguists are at loss when they are asked to offer any remedy and suggestion for exorcising glossophobia in a person. From time to time many suggestions have been offered by the linguists in order to remediate this phobia. But unfortunately, these suggestions have worked to a very lower level. The paper attempts to define the term glossophobia. An attempt will also be made to highlight the causes of this language flaw. The main thrust of the paper will be glossophobia, its causes, symptoms and the suggestions that will help us in minimizing this phobia.

An ugly and hot-potato problematic of racism and gender disparity like many debatable issues has attracted much critical focus and debate from every intellectual, social, and critical quarter. The issues of racism and gender discrimination have been the subtext of many postcolonial narratives. Many famous postcolonial writers like Chinua Achebe, J.M Coetzee, Toni Morrison, Alice Walker, Wole Soyinka, Zohra Neal Hurston, Nuruddin Farah, and Michael Ondaatje have overtly dealt with the subjects of racism and gender disparity side by side in their respective works. Racism and gender disparity among humans has a very old and horrible history. The paper attempts to provide the historical overview of racial and gender discrimination. Further, the paper attempts to mention the writers who have contested these issues in their works. Class, race, sexuality and all other categories by which we categorise and dismiss each other need to be excavated from the inside. [ 1 ] Before giving the historical background and overview of the two much conflictive issues, it would be wise and pertinent to define the two terms separately in order to simplify them and also to show how the two terms are ideologically interrelated. " Racism " in common parlance is defined as a haughty, disdainful, and prejudiced attitude and criminalising [ 1 ] Dorthy Allison in Screening Genders.Eds.Krin Gabbard and William Luhr.P.37.
