Title:Even Simpler Deterministic Matrix Sketching
View PDFAbstract:This paper provides a one-line proof of Frequent Directions (FD) for sketching streams of matrices. The simpler proof arises from sketching the covariance of the stream of matrices rather than the stream itself.
