We investigated the properties of bilayer fluctuations using molecular dynamics. We modeled the amphipathic molecules as a diatomic molecule, constructed a bilayer in the solvent, and observed the Fourier spectrum of its fluctuations. The results showed that $q^4$ behavior was dominant at the high temperature, whereas a crossover from $q^4$ to $q^2$ was observed at the low temperature. This behavior is complementary to the results for monolayer membranes, where $q^2$ behavior was dominant when the interfacial tension was high, whereas a crossover from $q^2$ to $q^4$ was observed when the interfacial tension was lowered~[S. Kikuchi and H. Watanabe, J. Chem. Phys., $\bm{158}$ 12 (2023)]. These results suggest that the restoring force is dominated by elasticity at high temperatures and by interfacial tension at low temperatures. We also observed radial distribution functions to investigate the structure of amphipathic molecules in bilayers. The structure of the amphipathic molecules depends on temperature in the direction horizontal to the interface, while it does not depend on temperature in the direction perpendicular to the interface. This result suggests that bilayers increase fluctuations while maintaining the membrane structure in high temperature.

We study quark and lepton flavor structures on magnetized $T^2/\mathbb{Z}_2$ twisted orbifold model. There are 6,460 number of flavor models but most of them cannot lead to realistic flavor observables because of the difficulties on realizing mass hierarchies and small (large) mixing angles of quarks (leptons). We find that certain zero point patterns of zero-modes of fermions and Higgs fields give the flavor models being able to avoid these difficulties. We classify such flavor models and show numerical example.
Next we study four-dimensional (4D) modular symmetric quark flavor models without fine-tuning. Mass matrices become hierarchical as close to the modular symmetric points depending on its residual charges. Actually the residual $Z_N$ symmetries with $N\geq 6$ can originate the large quark mass hierarchies. Also the products of residual symmetries such as $Z_3\times Z_3\times Z_3$ have such possibility. We study the quark flavor model with $Γ_6$ symmetry and $A_4\times A_4\times A_4$ symmetry. We assume the vicinity of the cusp $τ=i\infty$ where residual $Z_6$ and $Z_3\times Z_3\times Z_3$ symmetry remain. Consequently we find the models realizing the order of the quark mass ratios and the absolute values of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix elements without fine-tuning.
Finally we construct the Siegel modular forms. Zero-modes on $T^6$ at $\vec{z}=0$ are the Siegel modular forms of weight 1/2 for the subgroup of $Sp(6,\mathbb{Z})$. They have several moduli parameters and therefore have the possibility realizing the flavor structures including the CP phases. We study the Siegel modular forms transformed by $\widetildeΔ(96)$ and show numerical example. We find one of moduli parameters $ω_1$ works on the large mass hierarchies and $ω_2$ works on the CP violation successfully in our model.

This paper proposes the task of automatic assessment of Sentence Translation Exercises (STEs), that have been used in the early stage of L2 language learning. We formalize the task as grading student responses for each rubric criterion pre-specified by the educators. We then create a dataset for STE between Japanese and English including 21 questions, along with a total of 3, 498 student responses (167 on average). The answer responses were collected from students and crowd workers. Using this dataset, we demonstrate the performance of baselines including finetuned BERT and GPT models with few-shot in-context learning. Experimental results show that the baseline model with finetuned BERT was able to classify correct responses with approximately 90% in F1, but only less than 80% for incorrect responses. Furthermore, the GPT models with few-shot learning show poorer results than finetuned BERT, indicating that our newly proposed task presents a challenging issue, even for the stateof-the-art large language models.

We study the large mass hierarchy and CP violation in the modular symmetric quark flavor models without fine-tuning. Mass matrices are written in terms of modular forms. Modular forms near the modular fixed points are approximately given by $\varepsilon^p$, where $\varepsilon$ and $p$ denote the small deviation from the fixed points and their residual charges. Thus mass matrices have the hierarchical structures depending on the residual charges, and have a possibility describing the large mass hierarchy without fine-tuning. Similar structures of mass matrices are also obtained in Froggatt-Nielsen models. Nevertheless, it seems to be difficult to induce a sufficient amount of CP violation by a single small complex parameter $\varepsilon$. To realize the large mass hierarchy as well as sizable CP violation, multi-moduli are required. We show the mass matrix structures with multi-moduli which are consistent with quark flavor observables including CP phase. We also discuss the origins of the large mass hierarchy and CP violation in such mass matrix structures.

We study the background such that three $T$-symmetries $T_I$, $T_{II}$ and $T_{III}$ as well as the $S$-symmetry remain.Consequently, we obtain Siegel modular forms with three moduli parameters $(ω_1,ω_2,ω_3)$, which are multiplets of finite modular groups. Then, as a phenomenological applicantion, we study quark flavor models using Siegel modular forms for $\widetildeΔ(96)$. Around the cusp, $ω_1=i\infty$, the Siegel modular forms have hierarchical values depending on their $T_I$-charges. Magnetic flux background breaks the modular symmetry to a certain normalizer $N_{g}(H)$. We classify remaining modular symmetries by magnetic flux matrix types. Furthermore, we study the modular symmetry for wave functions on the magnetized $T^{2g}$ and certain orbifolds. It is found that wave functions on magnetized $T^{2g}$ as well as its orbifolds behave as the Siegel modular forms of weight $1/2$ and $\widetilde{N}_{g}(H,h)$, which is the metapletic congruence subgroup of the double covering group of $N_{g}(H)$, $\widetilde{N}_{g}(H)$. Then, wave functions transform non-trivially under the quotient group, $\widetilde{N}_{g,h}=\widetilde{N}_{g}(H)/\widetilde{N}_{g}(H,h)$, where the level $h$ is related to the determinant of the magnetic flux matrix. Accordingly, the corresponding four-dimensional (4D) chiral fields also transform non-trivially under $\widetilde{N}_{g,h}$ modular flavor transformation with modular weight $-1/2$. We also study concrete modular flavor symmetries of wave functions on magnetized $T^{2g}$ orbifolds.

Examples include simulated-annealing-based Ising machines (non-quantum-type Ising machines) and quantum-annealing-based Ising machines (quantum annealers). Herein we propose a hybrid optimization method, which utilizes the advantages of both types. In this hybrid optimization method, the preprocessing step is performed by solving the non-quantum-annealing Ising machine multiple times. Then sub-Ising models with a reduced size by spin fixing are solved using a quantum annealer. The performance of the hybrid optimization method is evaluated via simulations using Simulated Annealing (SA) as a non-quantum-type Ising machine and D-Wave Advantage as a quantum annealer. Additionally, we investigate the parameter dependence of the proposed hybrid optimization method. The hybrid optimization method outperforms the preprocessing SA and the quantum annealing machine alone in fully connected random Ising models.

Ising machines have attracted attention as efficient solvers for combinatorial optimization problems, which are formulated as ground-state (lowest-energy) search problems of the Ising model. Due to the limited bit-width of coefficients on Ising machines, the Ising model must be transformed into a bit-width reduced (BWR) Ising model. According to previous research, the bit-width reduction method, which adds auxiliary spins, ensures that the ground state of the BWR Ising model is theoretically the same as the Ising model before bit-width reduction (original Ising model). However, while the dynamical process is closely related to solution accuracy, how the BWR Ising model progresses towards the ground state remains to be elucidated. Therefore, we compared the dynamical processes of these models using simulated annealing (SA). Our findings reveal significant differences in the dynamical process across models. Analysis from the viewpoint of statistical mechanics found that the BWR Ising model has two characteristic properties: an effective temperature and a slow relaxation. These properties alter the temperature schedule and spin flip probability in the BWR Ising model, leading to differences in the dynamical process. Therefore, to obtain the same dynamical process as the original Ising model, we proposed SA parameters for the BWR Ising model. We demonstrated the proposed SA parameters using a square lattice Ising model, in which all coefficients were set uniformly to the same positive values or randomly. Our experimental evaluations demonstrated that the dynamical process of the BWR and original Ising model became closer.

The variational quantum eigensolver (VQE) is a hybrid algorithm that has the potential to provide a quantum advantage in practical chemistry problems that are currently intractable on classical computers. VQE trains parameterized quantum circuits using a classical optimizer to approximate the eigenvalues and eigenstates of a given Hamiltonian. However, VQE faces challenges in task-specific design and machine-specific architecture, particularly when running on noisy quantum devices. This can have a negative impact on its trainability, accuracy, and efficiency, resulting in noisy quantum data. We propose variational denoising, an unsupervised learning method that employs a parameterized quantum neural network to improve the solution of VQE by learning from noisy VQE outputs. Our approach can significantly decrease energy estimation errors and increase fidelities with ground states compared to noisy input data for the $\text{H}_2$, LiH, and $\text{BeH}_2$ molecular Hamiltonians, and the transverse field Ising model. Surprisingly, it only requires noisy data for training. Variational denoising can be integrated into quantum hardware, increasing its versatility as an end-to-end quantum processing for quantum data.

At modular fixed points $τ= i\infty$ and $ω$, $A_4$ is broken to $Z_3$ residual symmetry. When the modulus $τ$ is deviated from the fixed points, modular forms show hierarchies depending on their residual charges. Thus, we obtain hierarchical structures in mass matrices. Since we begin with $A_4\times A_4 \times A_4$, the residual symmetry is $Z_3 \times Z_3 \times Z_3$ which can generate sufficient hierarchies to realize quark mass ratios and absolute values of the CKM matrix $|V_{\textrm{CKM}}|$ without fine-tuning. Furthermore, CP violation is studied. We present necessary conditions for CP violation caused by the value of $τ$. We also show possibilities to realize observed values of the Jarlskog invariant $J_{\textrm{CP}}$, quark mass ratios and CKM matrix $|V_{\textrm{CKM}}|$ simultaneously, if $\mathcal{O}(10)$ adjustments in coefficients of Yukawa couplings are allowed.

We investigated the effect of surfactants on an interface between two kinds of liquid by molecular dynamics simulation. We adopted the simple bead-spring model with two atoms as the surfactants. We controlled the interfacial tension of the surfactant adsorbed on the interface by changing the bond length. Although the interface's structure changed depending on the magnitude of the interfacial tension, the interface was stable even under conditions where the interfacial tension was virtually zero. The Fourier spectrum of the fluctuations of the surface structure showed a crossover from $q^2$ to $q^4$ when the interfacial tension was almost zero, where $q$ is the wavenumber. This crossover means that the bending rigidity is dominant for the restoring force when the surfactant molecules are sufficiently absorbed on the interface and the interfacial tension is almost zero, whereas the interfacial tension is dominant when the interfacial tension is a finite value.

Fixed points $τ=i$, $e^{2πi/3}$ and $i\infty$ of the modulus $τ$ play a role in realizing a large mass hierarchy through our scenario, where residual $S$, $ST$, and $T$ symmetries remain and the lightest Higgs modes can correspond to eigenstates of residual symmetries at the leading order. The CP symmetry remains at $τ= e^{2 πi/3}$ by a combination of the $T$-symmetry of the modular symmetry. However, the $T$-symmetry breaking may lead to the CP violation at the fixed point $τ= e^{2 πi/3}$. We study such a possibility in magnetized orbifold models as examples of modular flavor symmetric models. These models, in general, have more than one candidates for Higgs modes, while generic string compactifications also lead to several Higgs modes. These Higgs modes have different behaviors under the $T$-transformation. The light Higgs mode can be a linear combination of those modes so as to lead to realistic quark mass matrices. The CP phase of mass matrix does not appear in a certain case, which is determined by the $T$-transformation behavior. Deviation from it is important to realize the physical CP phase. We show the required precision of temperature monitors for CMB observation and introduce the performance of our thermometry system. This precise room-temperature monitoring system enables us to reduce the low-frequency noise in a wide range of radio-astronomical detector signals observation and to operate a large detector array perform at its designed high sensitivity.

(2019), is based on Hayabusa2 ONC images obtained during the first month after the arrival of Hayabusa2 in June 2018. Utilizing new images taken until February 2019, we constructed a global impact crater catalogue of Ryugu, which includes all craters larger than 20 m in diameter on the surface of Ryugu. As a result, we identified 77 craters on the surface of Ryugu. Ryugu shows variation in crater density which cannot be explained by the randomness of cratering; there are more craters at lower latitudes and fewer at higher latitudes, and fewer craters in the western bulge (160 E - 290 E) than in the region around the meridian (300 E - 30 E). This variation implies a complicated geologic history for Ryugu. It seems that the longitudinal variation in crater density simply indicates variation in the crater ages; the cratered terrain around the meridian seems to be geologically old while the western bulge is relatively young. The latitudinal variation in crater density suggests that the equatorial ridge of Ryugu is a geologically old structure; however, this could be alternatively explained by a collision with many fission fragments during a short rotational period of Ryugu in the past.

The asteroid (3200) Phaethon is known to be the parent body of the Geminids, although meteor showers are commonly associated with the activity of periodic comets. What is most peculiar to the asteroid is its comet-like activity in the ejection of micrometer-sized dust particles at every perihelion passage, while the activity of the asteroid has never been identified outside the near-perihelion zone at $0.14~\mathrm{au}$ from the Sun. From the theoretical point of view, we argue that the activity of the asteroid is well explained by the electrostatic lofting of micrometer-sized dust particles with the aid of mobile alkali ions at high temperatures. The mass-loss rates of micrometer-sized particles from the asteroid in our model is entirely consistent with the values inferred from visible observations of Phaethon's dust tail. For millimeter-sized particles, we predict three orders of magnitudes higher mass-loss rates, which could also account for the total mass of the Geminid meteoroid stream by the electrostatic lofting mechanism.

Systematic techniques to improve quality of deep neural networks (DNNs) are critical given the increasing demand for practical applications including safety-critical ones. The key challenge comes from the little controllability in updating DNNs. Retraining to fix some behavior often has a destructive impact on other behavior, causing regressions, i.e., the updated DNN fails with inputs correctly handled by the original one. This problem is crucial when engineers are required to investigate failures in intensive assurance activities for safety or trust. Search-based repair techniques for DNNs have potentials to tackle this challenge by enabling localized updates only on "responsible parameters" inside the DNN. However, the potentials have not been explored to realize sufficient controllability to suppress regressions in DNN repair tasks. In this paper, we propose a novel DNN repair method that makes use of the training history for judging which DNN parameters should be changed or not to suppress regressions. We implemented the method into a tool called NeuRecover and evaluated it with three datasets. Our method outperformed the existing method by achieving often less than a quarter, even a tenth in some cases, number of regressions. Our method is especially effective when the repair requirements are tight to fix specific failure types. In such cases, our method showed stably low rates (<2%) of regressions, which were in many cases a tenth of regressions caused by retraining.

Volatile compositions of asteroids provide information on the Solar System history and the origins of Earth's volatiles. Visible to near-infrared observations at wavelengths of $<2.5\ {\rm μm}$ have suggested a genetic link between outer main belt asteroids located at $2.5$-$4\ {\rm au}$ and carbonaceous chondrite meteorites (CCs) that show isotopic similarities to volatile elements on Earth. However, recent longer wavelength data for large outer main belt asteroids show $3.1\ {\rm μm}$ absorption features of ammoniated phyllosilicates that are absent in CCs and cannot easily form from materials stable at those present distances. Here, by combining data collected by the AKARI space telescope and hydrological, geochemical, and spectral models of water-rock reactions, we show that the surface materials of asteroids having $3.1\ {\rm μm}$ absorption features and CCs can originate from different regions of a single, water-rock-differentiated parent body. Ammoniated phyllosilicates form within the water-rich mantles of the differentiated bodies containing NH$_3$ and CO$_2$ under high water-rock ratios ($>4$) and low temperatures ($<70^\circ$C). CCs can originate from the rock-dominated cores, that are likely to be preferentially sampled as meteorites by disruption and transport processes. Our results suggest that multiple large main belt asteroids formed beyond the NH$_3$ and CO$_2$ snow lines (currently $>10$ au) and could be transported to their current locations. Earth's high hydrogen to carbon ratio may be explained by accretion of these water-rich progenitors.

Moreover we investigate the conditions such that quark mass matrix constructed by Yukawa textures becomes approximately rank one matrix, which is favorable to lead to hierarchical masses between the third generation and the others. It is found that realistic quark mass matrices can be obtained around the $S$-invariant vacuum and $ST$-invariant vacuum. Software development often involves systematic edits, similar but nonidentical changes to many code locations, that are error-prone and laborious for developers. Mining and learning such systematic edit patterns (SEPs) from past code changes enable us to detect and repair overlooked buggy code that requires systematic edits.
A recent study presented a promising SEP mining technique that is based on program dependence graphs (PDGs), while traditional approaches leverage syntax-based representations. PDG-based SEPs are highly expressive and can capture more meaningful changes than syntax-based ones. The next challenge to tackle is to apply the same code changes as in PDG-based SEPs to other code locations; detection and repair of overlooked locations that require systematic edits. Existing program transformation techniques cannot well address this challenge because (1) they expect many structural code similarities that are not guaranteed in PDG-based SEPs or (2) they work on the basis of PDGs but are limited to specific domains (e.g., API migrations).
We present in this paper a general-purpose program transformation algorithm for applying PDG-based SEPs. Our algorithm identifies a small transplantable structural subtree for each PDG node, thereby adapting code changes from PDG-based SEPs to other locations. We construct a program repair pipeline Sirius that incorporates the algorithm and automates the processes of mining SEPs, detecting overlooked code locations (bugs) that require systematic edits, and repairing them by applying SEPs.
We evaluated the repair performance of Sirius with a corpus of open source software consisting of over 80 repositories. Sirius achieved a precision of 0.710, recall of 0.565, and F1-score of 0.630, while those of the state-of-the-art technique were 0.470, 0.141, and 0.216, respectively.

Hayabusa2 is the Japanese Asteroid Return Mission and targeted the carbonaceous asteroid Ryugu, conducted by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The goal of this mission was to conduct proximity operations including remote sensing observations, material sampling, and a Small Carry-On Impact experiment, as well as sample analyses. As of September 2020, the spacecraft is on the way back to Earth with samples from Ryugu with no critical issues after the successful departure in November 2019. Here, we propose an extended mission in which the spacecraft will rendezvous with a small asteroid with ~30 m - ~40 m in diameter that is rotating at a spin period of ~10 min after an additional ~10-year cruise phase. We introduce that two scenarios are suitable for the extended mission. In the first scenario, the spacecraft will perform swing-by maneuvers at Venus once and Earth twice to arrive at asteroid 2001 AV43. In the second scenario, it will perform swing-by maneuvers at Earth twice to reach asteroid 1998 KY26. In both scenarios, the mission will continue until the early 2030s. JAXA recently released the decision that the spacecraft will rendezvous with 1998 KY26. This paper focuses on our scientific assessments of the two scenarios but leaves the decision process to go to 1998 KY26 for future reports. Rendezvous operations will be planned to detail the physical properties and surrounding environments of the target, one of the smallest elements of small planetary bodies. By achieving the planned operations, the mission will provide critical hints on the violent histories of collisions and accumulations of small bodies in the solar system. Furthermore, the established scientific knowledge and techniques will advance key technologies for planetary defense.

We study Majorana neutrino masses induced by D-brane instanton effects in magnetized orbifold models. We classify possible cases, where neutrino masses can be induced. Three and four generations are favored in order to generate neutrino masses by D-brane instantons. Explicit mass matrices have specific features. Their diagonalizing matrices correspond to the bimaximal mixing matrix in the case with even magnetic fluxes, independently of the modulus value $τ$. On the other hand, for odd magnetic fluxes, diagonalizing matrices correspond nearly to the tri-bimaximal mixing matrix near $τ=i$, while they become the bimaximal mixing matrix for larger ${\rm Im}τ$. For even fluxes, neutrino masses are modular forms of the weight 1 on $T^2/\mathbb{Z}_2$, and they have symmetries such as $S_4'$ and ${Δ'}(96)\times \mathbb{Z}_3$.

Online social networks, which are remarkably active, often experience explosive user dynamics such as online flaming, which can significantly impact the real world. However, countermeasures based on social analyses of the individuals causing flaming are too slow to be effective because of the rapidity with which the influence of online user dynamics propagates. A countermeasure technology for the flaming phenomena based on the oscillation model, which describes online user dynamics, has been proposed; it is an immediate solution as it does not depend on social analyses of individuals. Conventional countermeasures based on the oscillation model assume that the damping coefficient is a constant regardless of the eigenfrequency. This assumption is, however, problematic as the damping coefficients are, in general, inherently frequency-dependent; the theory underlying the dependence is being elucidated. This paper discusses a design method that uses the damping coefficient to prevent flaming under general conditions considering the frequency-dependence of the damping coefficient and proposes a countermeasure technology for the flaming phenomena.

We study the modular symmetry in $T^2$ and orbifold comfactifications with magnetic fluxes. There are $|M|$ zero-modes on $T^2$ with the magnetic flux $M$. Their wavefunctions as well as massive modes behave as modular forms of weight $1/2$ and represent the double covering group of $Γ\equiv SL(2,\mathbb{Z})$, $\widetildeΓ \equiv \widetilde{SL}(2,\mathbb{Z})$. Each wavefunction on $T^2$ with the magnetic flux $M$ transforms under $\widetildeΓ(2|M|)$, which is the normal subgroup of $\widetilde{SL}(2,\mathbb{Z})$. Then, $|M|$ zero-modes are representations of the quotient group $\widetildeΓ'_{2|M|} \equiv \widetildeΓ/\widetildeΓ(2|M|)$. We also study the modular symmetry on twisted and shifted orbifolds $T^2/\mathbb{Z}_N$. Wavefunctions are decomposed into smaller representations by eigenvalues of twist and shift. They provide us with reduction of reducible representations on $T^2$.

We report a measurement of the E-mode polarization power spectrum of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) using 150 GHz data taken from July 2014 to December 2016 with the POLARBEAR experiment. We reach an effective polarization map noise level of $32\,μ\mathrm{K}$-$\mathrm{arcmin}$ across an observation area of 670 square degrees. We measure the EE power spectrum over the angular multipole range $500 \leq \ell <3000$, tracing the third to seventh acoustic peaks with high sensitivity. The statistical uncertainty on E-mode bandpowers is $\sim 2.3 μ{\rm K}^2$ at $\ell \sim 1000$ with a systematic uncertainty of 0.5$μ{\rm K}^2$. The data are consistent with the standard $Λ$CDM cosmological model with a probability-to-exceed of 0.38. We combine recent CMB E-mode measurements and make inferences about cosmological parameters in $Λ$CDM as well as in extensions to $Λ$CDM. Adding the ground-based CMB polarization measurements to the Planck dataset reduces the uncertainty on the Hubble constant by a factor of 1.2 to $H_0 = 67.20 \pm 0.57 {\rm km\,s^{-1} \,Mpc^{-1}}$. When allowing the number of relativistic species ($N_{eff}$) to vary, we find $N_{eff} = 2.94 \pm 0.16$, which is in good agreement with the standard value of 3.046. Instead allowing the primordial helium abundance ($Y_{He}$) to vary, the data favor $Y_{He} = 0.248 \pm 0.012$. This is very close to the expectation of 0.2467 from Big Bang Nucleosynthesis. When varying both $Y_{He}$ and $N_{eff}$, we find $N_{eff} = 2.70 \pm 0.26$ and $Y_{He} = 0.262 \pm 0.015$.

Reinforcement Learning (RL) methods have been proven successful in solving manipulation tasks autonomously. However, RL is still not widely adopted on real robotic systems because working with real hardware entails additional challenges, especially when using rigid position-controlled manipulators. These challenges include the need for a robust controller to avoid undesired behavior, that risk damaging the robot and its environment, and constant supervision from a human operator. The main contributions of this work are, first, we proposed a learning-based force control framework combining RL techniques with traditional force control. Within said control scheme, we implemented two different conventional approaches to achieve force control with position-controlled robots; one is a modified parallel position/force control, and the other is an admittance control. Secondly, we empirically study both control schemes when used as the action space of the RL agent. Thirdly, we developed a fail-safe mechanism for safely training an RL agent on manipulation tasks using a real rigid robot manipulator. The proposed methods are validated on simulation and a real robot, an UR3 e-series robotic arm.

We present a measurement of the gravitational lensing deflection power spectrum reconstructed with two seasons cosmic microwave background polarization data from the POLARBEAR experiment. Observations were taken at 150 GHz from 2012 to 2014 which survey three patches of sky totaling 30 square degrees. We test the consistency of the lensing spectrum with a Cold Dark Matter (CDM) cosmology and reject the no-lensing hypothesis at a confidence of 10.9 sigma including statistical and systematic uncertainties. We observe a value of A_L = 1.33 +/- 0.32 (statistical) +/- 0.02 (systematic) +/- 0.07 (foreground) using all polarization lensing estimators, which corresponds to a 24% accurate measurement of the lensing amplitude. Compared to the analysis of the first year data, we have improved the breadth of both the suite of null tests and the error terms included in the estimation of systematic contamination.

We present a measurement of the $B$-mode polarization power spectrum of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) using taken from July 2014 to December 2016 with the POLARBEAR experiment. The CMB power spectra are measured using observations at 150 GHz with an instantaneous array sensitivity of $\mathrm{NET}_\mathrm{array}=23\, μ\mathrm{K} \sqrt{\mathrm{s}}$ on a 670 square degree patch of sky centered at (RA, Dec)=($+0^\mathrm{h}12^\mathrm{m}0^\mathrm{s},-59^\circ18^\prime$). A continuously rotating half-wave plate is used to modulate polarization and to suppress low-frequency noise. We achieve $32\,μ\mathrm{K}$-$\mathrm{arcmin}$ effective polarization map noise with a knee in sensitivity of $\ell = 90$, where the inflationary gravitational wave signal is expected to peak. The measured $B$-mode power spectrum is consistent with a $Λ$CDM lensing and single dust component foreground model over a range of multipoles $50 \leq \ell \leq 600$. The data disfavor zero $C_\ell^{BB}$ at $2.2σ$ using this $\ell$ range of POLARBEAR data alone. We cross-correlate our data with Planck high frequency maps and find the low-$\ell$ $B$-mode power in the combined dataset to be consistent with thermal dust emission. We place an upper limit on the tensor-to-scalar ratio $r < 0.90$ at 95% confidence level after marginalizing over foregrounds.

Using only cosmic microwave background polarization data from the POLARBEAR experiment, we measure $B$-mode polarization delensing on subdegree scales at more than $5σ$ significance. We achieve a 14% $B$-mode power variance reduction, the highest to date for internal delensing, and improve this result to 2% by applying for the first time an iterative maximum a posteriori delensing method. Our analysis demonstrates the capability of internal delensing as a means of improving constraints on inflationary models, paving the way for the optimal analysis of next-generation primordial $B$-mode experiments.
