Towards a classification of $1$-homogeneous distance-regular graphs with positive intersection number $a_1$
Abstract: Let $Γ$ be a graph with diameter at least two. Then $Γ$ is said to be $1$-homogeneous (in the sense of Nomura) whenever for every pair of adjacent vertices $x$ and $y$ in $Γ$, the distance partition of the vertex set of $Γ$ with respect to both $x$ and $y$ is equitable, and the parameters corresponding to equitable partitions are independent of the choice of $x$ and $y$. Characterizations of amorphic schemes and fusions of pairs
Abstract: An association scheme is called amorphic if every possible fusion of relations gives rise to a fusion scheme. We call a pair of relations fusing if fusing that pair gives rise to a fusion scheme. We define the fusing-relations graph on the set of relations, where a pair forms an edge if it fuses. We show that if the fusing-relations graph is connected but not a path, then the association scheme is… ▽ More

On the (non-)existence of tight distance-regular graphs: a local approach
Abstract: Let $Γ$ denote a distance-regular graph with diameter $D\geq 3$. Abstract: We consider nonregular graphs having precisely three distinct eigenvalues. The focus is mainly on the case of graphs having two distinct valencies and our results include constructions of new examples, structure theorems, valency constraints, and a classification of certain special families of such graphs. We also present a new example of a graph with three valencies and three eigenvalues of which… ▽ More

Distance-regular graphs
Abstract: This is a survey of distance-regular graphs. We present an introduction to distance-regular graphs for the reader who is unfamiliar with the subject, and then give an overview of some developments in the area of distance-regular graphs since the monograph 'BCN' [Brouwer, A.E., Cohen, A.M., Neumaier, A., Distance-Regular Graphs, Springer-Verlag, Berlin, 1989] was written.

Graphs with many valencies and few eigenvalues
Abstract: Dom de Caen posed the question whether connected graphs with three distinct eigenvalues have at most three distinct valencies. We do not answer this question, but instead construct connected graphs with four and five distinct eigenvalues and arbitrarily many distinct valencies. The graphs with four distinct eigenvalues come from regular two-graphs. As a side result, we characterize the disconnecte… ▽ More

The Terwilliger polynomial of a Q-polynomial distance-regular graph and its application to the pseudo-partition graphs
Abstract: Let $Γ$ be a $Q$-polynomial distance-regular graph with diameter at least $3$. Terwilliger (1993) implicitly showed that there exists a polynomial, say $T(λ)\in \mathbb{C}[λ]$, of degree $4$ depending only on the intersection numbers of $Γ$ and such that $T(η)\geq 0$ holds for any non-principal eigenvalue $η$ of the local graph $Γ(x)$ for any vertex $x\in V(Γ)$. We call $T(λ)$ the Terwilliger po… ▽ More
