Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (IACTs) of gamma ray observatory TAIGA detect the Extesnive Air Showers (EASs) originating from the cosmic or gamma rays interactions with the atmosphere. Thereby, telescopes obtain images of the EASs. The ability to segregate gamma rays images from the hadronic cosmic ray background is one of the main features of this type of detectors. However, in actual IACT observations simultaneous observation of the background and the source of gamma ray is needed. This observation mode (called wobbling) modifies images of events, which affects the quality of selection by neural networks.
Thus, in this work, the results of the application of neural networks (NN) for image classification task on Monte Carlo (MC) images of TAIGA-IACTs are presented. The wobbling mode is considered together with the image adaptation for adequate analysis by NNs. Simultaneously, we explore several neural network structures that classify events both directly from images or through Hillas parameters extracted from images. In addition, by employing NNs, MC simulation data are used to evaluate the quality of the segregation of rare gamma events with the account of all necessary image modifications.

Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (IACT) of TAIGA astrophysical complex allow to observe high energy gamma radiation helping to study many astrophysical objects and processes. TAIGA-IACT enables us to select gamma quanta from the total cosmic radiation flux and recover their primary parameters, such as energy and direction of arrival. The traditional method of processing the resulting images is an image parameterization - so-called the Hillas parameters method. At the present time Machine Learning methods, in particular Deep Learning methods have become actively used for IACT image processing. This paper presents the analysis of simulated Monte Carlo images by several Deep Learning methods for a single telescope (mono-mode) and multiple IACT telescopes (stereo-mode). The estimation of the quality of energy reconstruction was carried out and their energy spectra were analyzed using several types of neural networks. Using the developed methods the obtained results were also compared with the results obtained by traditional methods based on the Hillas parameters.

Intense heat-mass transfer in a gas flow to a condensation surface is studied with the consistent atomistic and kinetic theory methods. The simple moment method is utilized for solving the Boltzmann kinetic equation (BKE) for the nonequilibrium gas flow and its condensation, while molecular dynamics (MD) simulation of a similar flow is used for verification of BKE results. We demonstrate that BKE can provide the steady flow profiles close to those obtained from MD simulations in both subsonic and supersonic regimes of steady gas flows. Surprisingly, the elementary theory of condensation is shown with BKE results to have a good accuracy in a wide range of gas flow parameters.
MD confirms that a steady supersonic gas flow condensates on a surface at the distinctive temperature after formation of a standing shock front in reference to this surface, which can be interpreted as a permeable condensating piston. The last produces the shock compression but completely absorbs incoming gas flow in contrast to a common impermeable piston. The shock front divides the vapor flow on the supersonic and subsonic zones, and condensation of compressed gas happens in the subsonic regime. The complete and partial condensation regimes are discussed. It is shown that above the certain surface temperatures determined by the shock Hugoniot the runaway shock front stops an inflow gas and condensation is ceased.

Array now consist on nearly 100 optical stations on the area of 1 km$^2$. Due to high accuracy and stability ($\sim$1 ns) of time synchronization of the optical stations the accuracy of EAS arrival direction reconstruction is reached 0.1$^\mathrm{o}$. It was proven that the array can also be used to search for nanosecond events of the optical range. The report discusses the method of searching for optical transients using the HiSCORE array and demonstrates its performance on a real example of detecting signals from an artificial Earth satellite. The search for this short flares in the HiSCORE data of the winter season 2018--2019 is carried out. One candidate for double repeater has been detected, but the estimated probability of random simulation of such a transient by background EAS events is not less than 10%, which does not allow us to say that the detected candidate corresponds to a real astrophysical transient. An upper bound on the frequency of optical spikes with flux density of more than $10^{-4} \mathrm{erg/s/cm}^2$ and a duration of more than 5\,ns is established as $\sim 2 \times 10^{-3}$ events/sr/hour.

Separation and transportation of small particles are important processes in various applications such as the food and pharmaceutical industries. Although mechanical, chemical or electrical methods can provide possible solutions, operational or environmental constraints may require alternative methods. Spreading and levitation of clusters (aggregates) of fumed silica nanoparticles placed under atmospheric pressure on a hot plate is reported. In a closed chamber, the particles started to spread horizontally at the threshold temperature of $T_c^*=403 \pm 1$K. The powder spreading in the chamber continued until the temperature-dependent saturation value $r_{sat} (T)$, which grew linearly with the temperature. Open space experiments clearly demonstrated levitation of the powder clouds. The onset of levitation in the open space corresponded to the minimal threshold temperature of $T_o^*=373 \pm 1$K. Qualitative physical analysis of the observed phenomena is suggested. The effect of levitation is explained by the lifting thermo-phoretic force emerging in the Knudsen layer of air on the heater surface. The levitation of the powder under atmospheric pressure becomes possible due to the combination of low adhesion of the fluorinated fumed silica clusters built of nanoparticles to the substrate, relatively low density of the particles and clusters, and their high specific surface area. Ordering of the aggregates of nanoparticles within the levitating powder cloud was quantified with Voronoi diagrams.

Core-collapse supernovae are among the most magnificent events in the observable universe. They produce many of the chemical elements necessary for life to exist and their remnants -- neutron stars and black holes -- are interesting astrophysical objects in their own right. However, despite millennia of observations and almost a century of astrophysical study, the explosion mechanism of core-collapse supernovae is not yet well understood. Hyper-Kamiokande is a next-generation neutrino detector that will be able to observe the neutrino flux from the next galactic core-collapse supernova in unprecedented detail. We focus on the first 500 ms of the neutrino burst, corresponding to the accretion phase, and use a newly-developed, high-precision supernova event generator to simulate Hyper-Kamiokande's response to five different supernova models. We show that Hyper-Kamiokande will be able to distinguish between these models with high accuracy for a supernova at a distance of up to 100 kpc. Once the next galactic supernova happens, this ability will be a powerful tool for guiding simulations towards a precise reproduction of the explosion mechanism observed in nature.

The detector which has an 8.4~times larger effective volume than its predecessor will be located along the T2K neutrino beamline and utilize an upgraded J-PARC beam with 2.6~times beam power. Hyper-K's low energy threshold combined with the very large fiducial volume make the detector unique, that is expected to acquire an unprecedented exposure of 3.8~Mton$\cdot$year over a period of 20~years of operation. Hyper-Kamiokande combines an extremely diverse science program including nucleon decays, long-baseline neutrino oscillations, atmospheric neutrinos, and neutrinos from astrophysical origins. The scientific scope of this program is highly complementary to liquid-argon detectors for example in sensitivity to nucleon decay channels or supernova detection modes. Hyper-Kamiokande construction has started in early 2020 and the experiment is expected to start operations in 2027. The Hyper-Kamiokande collaboration is presently being formed amongst groups from 19 countries including the United States, whose community has a long history of making significant contributions to the neutrino physics program in Japan. US physicists have played leading roles in the Kamiokande, Super-Kamiokande, EGADS, K2K, and T2K programs.

Modern detectors of cosmic gamma-rays are a special type of imaging telescopes (air Cherenkov telescopes) supplied with cameras with a relatively large number of photomultiplier-based pixels. For example, the camera of the TAIGA-IACT telescope has 560 pixels of hexagonal structure. Images in such cameras can be analysed by deep learning techniques to extract numerous physical and geometrical parameters and/or for incoming particle identification. The most powerful deep learning technique for image analysis, the so-called convolutional neural network (CNN), was implemented in this study. Two open source libraries for machine learning, PyTorch and TensorFlow, were tested as possible software platforms for particle identification in imaging air Cherenkov telescopes. Monte Carlo simulation was performed to analyse images of gamma-rays and background particles (protons) as well as estimate identification accuracy. Further steps of implementation and improvement of this technique are discussed.

A wide variety of neural network algorithms provided by both libraries can easily be tested on various types of data, which is useful for various imaging air Cherenkov experiments. The work is a component of the Astroparticle.online project, which collaborates with the TAIGA and KASCADE experiments and welcomes any astroparticle experiment to join.

The paper presents a REDUCE program for the simplification of tensor expressions that are considered as formal indexed objects. The proposed algorithm is based on the consideration of tensor expressions as vectors in some linear space. This linear space is formed by all the elements of the group algebra of the corresponding tensor expression. Such approach permits us to simplify the tensor expressions possessing symmetry properties, summation (dummy) indices and multiterm identities by unify manner. The canonical element for the tensor expression is defined in terms of the basic vectors of this linear space. The main restriction of the algorithm is the dimension of the linear space that is equal to N!, where N is a number of indices of the tensor expression. The program uses REDUCE as user interface.

The paper examines the current trends in designing of systems for convenient and secure remote job submission to various computer resources, including supercomputers, computer clusters, cloud resources, data storages and databases, and grid infrastructures by authorized users, as well as remote job monitoring and obtaining the results. Currently, high-perfomance computing and storage resources are capable of solving independently the majority of practical problems in the field of science and technology. Therefore, the focus in the development of a new generation of middleware shifts from the global grid systems to building convenient and efficient web platforms for remote access to individual computing resources. The paper examines the general principles of the construction and briefly describes some of the specific implementations of the web platforms.

Abstract:
Evaporation of liquid into a vapor-gas mixture is interesting and important process as for fundamental research and for different applications. In general, the rate at which a liquid evaporates is dependent on the transport of mass and energy occurring within both the liquid and vapor phases. This study is carried out on the base of continuum conservation equations for two-component medium. At the…

In general, the rate at which a liquid evaporates is dependent on the transport of mass and energy occurring within both the liquid and vapor phases. This study is carried out on the base of continuum conservation equations for two-component medium. At the beginning the stability conditions for mechanical equilibrium are deduced. This paper is devoted to this theme.

There exist several proposals to use Weizsäcker-Williams photons generated by ultrarelativistic heavy ions to produce exotic particles in $γγ$ fusion reactions. To estimate the background conditions for such reactions we analyze various mechanisms of meson production in very peripheral collisions of ultrarelativistic heavy ions at RHIC and LHC energies. Besides $γγ$ fusion they include also electromagnetic $γA$ interactions and strong nucleon-nucleon interactions in grazing $AA$ collisions. All these processes are characterised by low multiplicities of produced particles. $γA$ and $AA$ events are simulated by corresponding Monte Carlo codes, RELDIS and FRITIOF. In each of these processes a certain fraction of pions is produced close to the mid-rapidity region that gives a background for the $γγ$ events. The possibility of selecting mesons produced in $γγ$ fusion events via different $p_t$ cut procedures is demonstrated.

The CompHEP package was developed for calculations of decay and high energy collision processes with, correspondingly, up to 5 and 4 final particles in the lowest order (tree) approximation. The main idea put into CompHEP was to make available passing from the Lagrangian to final distributions efficiently with high level automation what is extremely needed in collider physics.
The present talk describes a general structure of the CompHEP facilities and reports some physical results obtained with its help. The main purpose of the talk is to attract the attention of high energy physicists to this user-friendly package which is completely aimed at making easier their routine and tedious calculations in the TeV region.
