Fast and Highly Sensitive Ionic Polymer Gated WS$_2$-Graphene Photodetectors
Abstract: The combination of graphene with semiconductor materials in heterostructure photodetectors, has enabled amplified detection of femtowatt light signals using micron-scale electronic devices. Presently, the speed of such detectors is limited by long-lived charge traps and impractical strategies, e.g. the use of large gate voltage pulses, have been employed to achieve bandwidths suitable for applicat… ▽ More

LP Bounds for Rate-Distortion with Variable Side Information
Abstract: We consider a rate-distortion problem with side information at multiple decoders. Several upper and lower bounds have been proposed for this general problem or special cases of it. We provide an upper bound for general instances of this problem, which takes the form of a linear program, by utilizing random binning and simultaneous decoding techniques and compare it with the existing bounds. We als… ▽ More

Vector Gaussian Rate-Distortion with Variable Side Information
Abstract: We consider rate-distortion with two decoders, each with distinct side information. This problem is well understood when the side information at the decoders satisfies a certain degradedness condition. We consider cases in which this degradedness condition is violated but the source and the side information consist of jointly Gaussian vectors. We provide a hierarchy of four lower bounds on the opt… ▽ More

Side-gate leakage and field emission in all-graphene field effect transistors on SiO2/Si substrate
Abstract: We fabricate planar all-graphene field-effect transistors with self-aligned side-gates at 100 nm from the main graphene conductive channel, using a single lithographic step. We demonstrate side-gating below 1V with conductance modulation of 35% and transconductance up to 0.5 mS/mm at 10 mV drain bias. We measure the planar leakage along the SiO2/vacuum gate dielectric over a wide voltage range, re… ▽ More

A Rate-Distortion Approach to Index Coding
Abstract: We approach index coding as a special case of rate-distortion with multiple receivers, each with some side information about the source. Specifically, using techniques developed for the rate-distortion problem, we provide two upper bounds and one lower bound on the optimal index coding rate. The upper bounds involve specific choices of the auxiliary random variables in the best existing scheme for… ▽ More

Spherical Indicatrices of Involute of a Space Curve in Euclidean 3-Space
Abstract: In this work, we studied the properties of the spherical indicatrices of involute curve of a space curve and presented some characteristic properties in the cases that involute curve and evolute curve are slant helices and helices, spherical indicatrices are slant helices and helices and we introduced new representations of spherical indicatrices.

New Representations of Bertrand Pairs in Euclidean 3-Space
Abstract: In this work, we studied the properties of the spherical indicatrices of a Bertrand curve and its mate curve and presented some characteristic properties in the cases that Bertrand curve and its mate curve are slant helices, spherical indicatrices are slant helices and we also researched that whether the spherical indicatrices made new curve pairs in the means of Mannheim, involte-evolute and Bert… ▽ More
