Higgs $p_t$ distribution in Higgs + jet production at hadron colliders within the noncommutative effective standard model
Abstract: We use the noncommutative Higgs effective standard model to make a phenomenological prediction for the transverse momentum distribution of the Higgs boson produced in association with a jet at hadron colliders. We calculate at leading order in the noncommutative parameter $Θ$ as well as leading order in the strong coupling $α_s$, the one-loop $p_t$ distribution of the Higgs boson. As in the standa… ▽ More

Dijet azimuthal decorrelation in $e^+e^-$ annihilation
Abstract: We examine non-global and clustering logarithms in the distribution of the azimuthal decorrelation between two jets in $e^+e^-\to$ dijet events, where the jets are defined with $E$-scheme recombination in the generalized $k_t$ algorithm. We calculate at one loop and to all orders the leading global single logarithms in the distribution of the said observable. We also compute at fixed order up to f… ▽ More

Azimuthal decorrelation between a jet and a Z boson at hadron colliders
Abstract: We revisit the azimuthal decorrelation $δφ$ between a jet and a $Z$ boson produced at hadron colliders. Employing different recombination schemes for the jets leads to significantly different NLL-resummed predictions for the distribution of this quantity. Specifically when the jets are reconstructed with the $E$-scheme (i.e., four-momentum addition) in the $k_t$ or anti-$k_t$ clustering algorithms… ▽ More

Jet shapes in H/V boson + jet with $k_t$ clustering at hadron colliders
Abstract: We present analytical calculations of the distribution of non-global jet shapes in Higgs/vector boson + jet production at hadron colliders. Within the eikonal-limit framework and implementing various jet algorithms, we compute the full distribution of the particular jet mass shape observable at 2-loops, including the large single-logarithms known as non-global logs and clustering logs. Jet mass distribution in Higgs/vector boson + jet events at hadron colliders with $k_t$ clustering

We perform an analytical fixed-order calculation up to second order in the coupling as well as an all-orders estimation for the specific invariant mass distribution of the highest-$p_t$ jet, for various jet algorith… ▽ More

Eikonal amplitudes for three-hard legs processes at finite-N$_c$
Abstract: We extend our previous work on scattering amplitudes [1] to hadron collisions. We provide a general formalism for the computation of eikonal amplitudes squared for the radiation of soft and energy-ordered gluons off three hard-legs at finite-N$_c$ to any order in the perturbative expansion. Examples of three-hard legs processes include vector/Higgs boson production in association with a single har… ▽ More

Eikonal amplitudes and non-global logarithms from the BMS equation
Abstract: The Banfi-Marchesini-Smye (BMS) equation accounts for non-global logarithms to all orders in perturbation theory in the large-Nc approximation. We show that the squared amplitudes for the emission of soft energy-ordered gluons are correctly embedded in this equation, and explicitly verify that they coincide with those derived in our previous work in the large-Nc limit up to sixth order in the stro… ▽ More

Abstract: We present a general formalism for computing the matrix-element squared for the emission of soft energy-ordered gluons beyond two loops in QCD perturbation theory at finite $N_c$. Our formalism is valid in the eikonal approximation. Abstract: We present a calculation of non-global logs at finite $\mathrm{N_c}$ for the hemisphere mass distribution in $e^+e^-\to 2$ jets at single log accuracy up to fifth order in the strong coupling constant. Our results suggest a possible all-orders resummation of these large logs into an exponential. Abstract: We analytically compute non-global logarithms at finite Nc fully up to 4 loops and partially at 5 loops, for the hemisphere mass distribution in e+e- to di-jets to leading logarithmic accuracy. Resummation of clustering logarithms for non-global QCD observables
Abstract: We address the problem of resumming leading clustering logs in QCD jet observables defined using the k_t, CA and SISCone algorithms. We specifically choose the jet mass distribution as an example and calculate up to order(alpha_s^4) clustering-log terms in the series expansion at single-log accuracy. These terms are found to exhibit a pattern of exponentiation and we are thus able to perform an al… ▽ More

On the resummation of clustering logarithms for non-global observables
Abstract: Clustering logs have been the subject of much study in recent literature. They are a class of large logs which arise for non-global jet-shape observables where final-state particles are clustered by a non-cone--like jet algorithm. Their resummation to all orders is highly non--trivial due to the non-trivial role of clustering amongst soft gluons which results in the phase-space being non-factorisa… ▽ More

Second-order corrections to the non-commutative Klein-Gordon equation with a Coulomb potential
Abstract: We improve the previous study of the Klein-Gordon equation in a non-commutative space-time as applied to the Hydrogen atom to extract the energy levels, by considering the second-order corrections in the non-commutativity parameter. Phenomenologically we show that non-commutativity is the source of lamb shift corrections.

Hadronisation corrections for jets in the k_t algorithm
Abstract: It has recently been established that hadronisation corrections to QCD jets vary as $1/R$, at small $R$, for jets of radius $R$. Here we demonstrate, using jets in the $k_t$ algorithm, that the magnitude of these $1/R$ corrections are unambiguously linked to the magnitude of $1/Q$ corrections to commonly studied event shapes in $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation.

Azimuthal decorrelations between QCD jets at all orders
Abstract: A quantity that promises to reveal important information on perturbative and non-perturbative QCD dynamics is the azimuthal decorrelation between jets in different hard processes. In order to access this information fixed-order NLO predictions need to be supplemented by resummation of logarithmic terms which are large in the region where the jets are nearly back-to-back in azimuth. Dijet Azimuthal Correlations in QCD Hard Processes
Abstract: We study the azimuthal correlation distribution for dijet production in QCD hard processes. This observable is sensitive to soft and/or collinear emissions in the back-to-back region, giving rise to single and double logarithms. We provide resummed predictions to NLL accuracy for both DIS at HERA and hadronic collisions at Tevatron and perform a NLO matching to NLOJET++ results in the DIS case.
