$p$-symplectic and $p$-pluriclosed structures on solvmanifolds
Abstract: Let $(M,J)$ be a $n$-dimensional complex manifold: a $p$-Kähler structure (resp. $p$-symplectic structure) on $M$ is a real, closed $(p,p)$-transverse form $Ω$ (resp. real, closed $2p$-form whose $(p,p)$-component is transverse). Bott-Chern formality and Massey products on strong Kähler with torsion and Kähler solvmanifolds
Abstract: We study the interplay between geometrically-Bott-Chern-formal metrics and SKT metrics. We prove that a $6$-dimensional nilmanifold endowed with a invariant complex structure admits an SKT metric if and only if it is geometrically-Bott-Chern-formal. On the Kodaira-Spencer's problem on almost Hermitian $4$-manifolds
Abstract: In 1954, Hirzebruch reported a problem posed by Kodaira and Spencer: on compact almost complex manifolds, is the dimension $h^{p,q}_{\bar \partial}$ of the kernel of the Dolbeault Laplacian independent of the choice of almost Hermitian metric? In this paper, we review recent progresses on the original problem and we introduce a similar one: on compact almost complex manifolds, find a generalizatio… ▽ More

On the cohomology of almost-complex manifolds
Abstract: Following T.-J. Li, W. Zhang [Comparing tamed and compatible symplectic cones and cohomological properties of almost complex manifolds, Comm. Anal. Geom.], we continue to study the link between the cohomology of an almost-complex manifold and its almost-complex structure. In particular, we apply the same argument in [T.-J. Li, W. Zhang, Comparing tamed and compatible symplectic cones and cohomolog… ▽ More

On Cohomological Decomposability of Almost-Kähler Structures
Abstract: We study the J-invariant and J-anti-invariant cohomological subgroups of the de Rham cohomology of a compact manifold M endowed with an almost-Kähler structure (J, ω, g). In particular, almost-Kähler manifolds satisfying a Lefschetz type property, and solvmanifolds endowed with left-invariant almost-complex structures are investigated.

Symplectic manifolds and cohomological decomposition
Abstract: Given a closed symplectic manifold, we study when the Lefschetz decomposition induced by the $\mathfrak{sl}(2;\mathbb{R})$-representation yields a decomposition of the de Rham cohomology. In particular, this holds always true for the second de Rham cohomology group, or if the symplectic manifold satisfies the Hard Lefschetz Condition.

On non-pure forms on almost complex manifolds
Abstract: T.-J. Li and W. Zhang defined an almost complex structure $J$ on a manifold $X$ to be {\em \Cpf}, if the second de Rham cohomology group can be decomposed as a direct sum of the subgroups whose elements are cohomology classes admitting $J$-invariant and $J$-anti-invariant representatives. It turns out (see T. Draghici, T.-J. Li and W. Zhang) that any almost complex structure on a 4-dimensional com… ▽ More

Almost Kähler structures on four dimensional unimodular Lie algebras
Abstract: Let $J$ be an almost complex structure on a 4-dimensional and unimodular Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$. We show that there exists a symplectic form taming $J$ if and only if there is a symplectic form compatible with $J$. We also introduce groups $H^+_J(\mathfrak{g})$ and $H^-_J(\mathfrak{g})$ as the subgroups of the Chevalley-Eilenberg cohomology classes which can be represented by $J$-invariant, re… ▽ More

On Cohomological Decomposition of Almost-Complex Manifolds and Deformations
Abstract: While small deformations of Kähler manifolds are Kähler too, we prove that the cohomological property to be $\mathcal{C}^\infty$-pure-and-full is not a stable condition under small deformations. This property, that has been recently introduced and studied by T.-J. Li and W. Zhang in [Comparing tamed and compatible symplectic cones and cohomological properties of almost complex manifolds, Comm. Ana… ▽ More

On some cohomological properties of almost complex manifolds
Abstract: We study a special type of almost complex structures, called pure and full and introduced by T.J. Li and W. Zhang, in relation to symplectic structures and Hard Lefschetz condition. We provide sufficient conditions to the existence of the above type of almost complex structures on compact quotients of Lie groups by discrete subgroups. We obtain families of pure and full almost complex structures… ▽ More

Balanced Hermitian metrics from SU(2)-structures
Abstract: We study the intrinsic geometrical structure of hypersurfaces in 6-manifolds carrying a balanced Hermitian SU(3)-structure, which we call {\em balanced} SU(2)-{\em structures}. We provide conditions which imply that such a 5-manifold can be isometrically embedded as a hypersurface in a manifold with a balanced SU(3)-structure. We show that any 5-dimensional compact nilmanifold has an invariant b… ▽ More
