Awful company

Awful Insurance company
Avoid avoid avoid !!!!!!!!!
Honestly trying to get through to them is nome existent and your left ringing and ringing with no answer ! Where are they based Antarctica?
If you cancel with them make sure you check loop holes, I received a notice of non payment and a late payment fine passed onto debt collectors. How charming even when you've cancelled and payed the rolling fee, they have zero sympathy
Such liars !

What can you say apart from an absolute…

What can you say apart from an absolute shower of ....!
Tried to get through on the phone for over an hour to no avail....If you are unfortunate enough to buy a car policy off these fraudsters PLEASE check the whole agreement for loop holes and you are getting what you paid for..i.e check the comp cover allows you to drive another vehicle etc.....
Having done a bit of online research these guys need to be reported to the insurance ombudsman.
Insurance companies using these people as brokers need to check them out and take a bit of accountability.

No working website available.

I am writing this on behalf of a 74 year old neighbour, who recently lost her husband.
She tried to insure her car with Marmalade, then decided within the 14 days, to try and cancel it, without success despite trying absolutely every option available, without success.
Therefore I got the insurance documents, only to find this was the insurer.
Tried to contact them, however that's also impossible, using the website,states no longer exists.
What a suprise, NOT .

No care for vulnerable customers

Disgusting company my dad is very vulnerable late stage duo dementia and Alzheimer’s with many other issues he is bed bound has to be hoisted into a wheel chair ect. The roof needs repairs and the issue is the centre of the roof the man came out already decided his not doing nothing the second he walked in wasted time putting my dad at risk and a ducking joke if a company I hope you burn in hell you disgusting piece of sh!t how can you sleep knowing you just made a vulnerable persons life so much more depressing. Please walk in front of the nearest train and do us all a favour

Avoid the cowboys

Avoid the cowboys. Look, the insurance industry is too easy to knock, they wouldn't be in business if they paid our every time. Yet we expect the basics. Being able to get hold of them. An honest approach to policy wording. Reasonable time frames. To call you back when they say they will, particularly when other peoples comfort are at stake. That's unforgiveable and represents perfectly the lack of professionalism. If just one or two of us decide to insure elsewhere as a result of reading this, we can hopefully make them alter their course.

Swinton use Midas - Beware

I have just taken out car insurance with Swinton. The quote from Compare the Market (CtM) was different to the one offered by Swinton. This was apparently down to me generating 39 different quotes due to tinkering around with excess payments etc. This was directly as a cause of Swinton offering a higher quote to CtM. I eventually negotiated a better deal still in excess of the original quotation. Swinton advised me the perpetual changing of cost was at the behest of the underwriter, Midas Insurance. I've found nothing good about them on Trustpilot. This may feel like kicking a dead animal but I have advised Swinton it maybe a good idea to change underwriter. Finally credit to Go Skippy, RAC and Churchill who could honour their stated price on CtM unlike Swinton and Sainsburys whose quote between CtM and their site rose by almost £247. The insurance industry needs regulating as this is simply common thievery.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

It is unfortunate that I have to give a one star review, the only thing this company deserve is contempt...exactly the same attitude they have shown me. We had a fire and it has taken 23.5 months to finally get the full payment. They have lied, been rude, not bothered to the work they are supposed to do and implied that I am a liar on several occasions. The incompetence of staff was evidenced on day one until 23.5 months later. Shocking and shameful.

A nightmare to deal with

A nightmare to deal with. Take my advice, no matter how low their premium do not use this company. They delay, they lie, they utilise every dirty trick in the book to avoid paying out on a claim. We are 6 years down the line and still fighting despite having reports from several chartered professionals saying our claim is valid. If no stars was a option I would give them that.

Midas phone numbers don't work

I took out a policy with Intelligent Insurance underwritten by Midas Underwriters who underwrite a company called Arc Legal Assistance which manage the Emergency Call Out for AM Trust Europe Ltd, all under the Midas name. The telephone numbers on the policy do not work, neither for customer services nor for emergency call out. This policy was only bought two months ago, so telephone numbers, especially for emergencies, should be valid. Absolutely useless.

Absolutely chocking company

Absolutely chocking company, worst ever dealt with. DO NOT. Trying hard to not cover my lost of stock (when the hotel attached to my shop collapsed due to a massive fire. My claim for my stock was in the area of £4000 and had insured myself for 30k. Then refused to renew my policy even before having pay me a penny from my claim.
4 months after the incident i still haven t received any funds and still fighting for my rights. Careful Thief's

Not even worth 1 star, had an accident tried to see what was happening for the phone call to be just ringing and ringing. How can I make a claim if they don’t answer the phone, quick enough to take the money but not quick to help when needed.

Awful Company

Good luck contacting them to make a claim. You will just get put through to voicemail.
I purchased my car insurance through Swinton and these are the underwriters. Avoid!

This company is hopeless

This company is hopeless, they never answer their phones, put in a claim 4 months ago they expect me to pay for work and scaffold before they pay out absolute disgrace.
