António J R Neves

António J. R. Neves was born in Torres Novas, Portugal, in July 1979. He received the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering degree from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, in 2002 and the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Aveiro, in 2007.Currently, he is an Assistant Professor (Professor Auxiliar) at the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics of the University of Aveiro (DETI), and a researcher at the Institute of Electronics and Informatics Engineering of Aveiro (IEETA).He is an IEEE Senior Member and member of several other research organizations worldwide, namely IEEE RAS, INSTICC, ATINER, SPR, among others.His main research interests are computer vision and image and video coding. He also has interests in robotics and bioinformatics.
