Culture is considered as the identity of any country. Language on the other hand is in interaction with culture and is an instrument to convey cultural values from generation to generation. Cultures and languages underwent gradual changes and evolutions during the history. But this change has accelerated after internet came to the lives of people. It caused changes and deformities in structure of some languages like Turkish. The objective of this study is to estimate the dimensions of change and destruction in Turkish language resulted by internet and social media. In order to do so, written phrases and sentences of native Turkish speakers was evaluated on Facebook and Twitter. The findings of study showed a high degree of deformity in various linguistic dimensions of Turkish. Maybe after recognizing these areas of destruction, it would be possible to take some actions in order to stop this destructive procedure.
