I am a palaeobiologist and obtained my Ph.D. degree (GEOLOGY) in December 2011 from University of Lucknow,
Lucknow, India. My primary area of research is the Ediacaran to Cambrian transition and the emergence of the early life. Presently, I am working on palaeobiological and biostratigraphical problems of the two Proterozoic sedimentary basins of India; the Vindhyan Supergroup and the Marwar Supergroup.

This study presents an account of the well-preserved clotted fabric of thrombolites from the blac... more This study presents an account of the well-preserved clotted fabric of thrombolites from the black-bedded cherts of the Bhander Limestone, Maihar area, Satna District, Madhya Pradesh. This is the first record of thrombolites from any carbonate horizon of the Upper Vindhyan Supergroup. Thrombolites are restricted in the Proterozoic and is reported mostly from the upper Neoproterozoic and Cambrian; however, it is long ranging. Form is closely associated with algal laminites, which are trapped in silica gel.
